"No! You can't attack the referee—that's against the game rules!"
"Motherf— I've never played a game in my life, what rules?"
Elderly Steve threw the Grandmaster over his shoulder, slamming him to the ground. His muscular arm locked around the Grandmaster's throat while his legs pinned his lower body.
"Wilson, use your ultimate move!!" Steve shouted.
Wade's eyes lit up. "Leave it to me!"
He wiggled his five fingers with a wicked grin, closing in on the Grandmaster.
Though the Grandmaster couldn't see Wade's expression under the mask, he sensed his doom.
"No!"
His eyes widened in panic. "You can't do this to me—I'm on your side!"
Wade grabbed his sensitive spot. "My ultimate move is screwing over my own team. You get it."
"No~~~"
Wade squeezed, and the Grandmaster's screams echoed. Carter turned away, unable to watch.
Charlie, however, watched with relish, impressed by Wade's lack of shame.
The Grandmaster could still run his game in the DC Universe, but his rules didn't need to be followed.
To those unfamiliar with him, this comical scene was unimaginable.
Zod and his crew were like that.
They stared in disbelief, filled with regret.
If they'd known this guy was so easy to handle, how could they have let Spider-Man get the Kryptonite?
It was too late.
Under Kryptonite's influence, the weakened Zod had no strength to resist.
He glared at the smug Charlie, eyes full of defiance.
"Damn bug, you think you've won?"
Charlie raised an eyebrow.
"Sounds like you've got an ace up your sleeve."
He tossed the Kryptonite casually, smirking. "I can't imagine how you'd beat the invincible Spider-Man—yep, that's me—with Kryptonite in my hand."
He kicked the powerless Zod down, planting a foot on his chest, looking down arrogantly.
He loved playing the villain's part.
"Don't say I didn't give you a chance. I'll count to three. If your ace doesn't show, I'm starting the torture."
Charlie grinned, holding up three fingers.
"One!"
Bang!
"Damn it! I didn't get to three!!"
A blur flashed by, and the Kryptonite fell. Charlie was swept up by a red-and-blue figure, crashing into the ship's inner hull.
Boom!!
With a deafening crash, the two figures smashed through the ship, tumbling into the Antarctic blizzard.
Icy wind and snow poured through the massive hole. Carter picked up the dropped Kryptonite, instantly feeling unwell.
She frowned, turning to Steve. "Stop fighting. Charlie's been ambushed."
"I saw."
Steve tossed the bruised Grandmaster to Wade, peering through the hole at the red-and-blue figure slamming into icebergs.
"It's Clark."
"It's him."
Weakened, Zod managed a faint smile. "Since discovering Kryptonite counters us, I've been working on a solution.
I used massive resources to create a suit that blocks Kryptonite radiation. Clark is its wearer."
"Why him?" Carter frowned.
Zod propped himself up, gasping.
"Because of the Codex."
He glanced at Carter and Steve. "I was right. With the Codex in you, Kryptonite's effect is minimal, likely because you're part human."
Carter understood instantly.
"Clark has part of the Codex's energy, so his genes are stronger. Raised on Earth, his adaptability and Kryptonite resistance are greater."
"Yes, his body can even slowly break down Kryptonite's radiation in stasis, so I chose him for the suit."
Zod staggered, barely clinging to his last breath.
"I modeled Clark's suit after Spider-Man's colors. The S on his chest symbolizes our hope. He'll defeat that bug and restore Krypton's glory."
"He won't harm Earth."
Jonathan and Martha emerged from a corner.
"I believe in my son. He's kind," Martha said firmly.
"But he's Kryptonian."
Zod sneered. "He has no choice. The suit doesn't just block Kryptonite—it unlocks his full potential.
After defeating Spider-Man, he'll follow my orders, reshaping Earth, spreading Kryptonian genes everywhere."
"What?"
Steve was shocked. "Controlling Clark's mind? What Kryptonian black tech is this?"
"It's—"
Zod collapsed before finishing, unable to speak.
Furious, Steve pummeled his body. "Half-sentences? No wonder Krypton went extinct."
Venting, he turned to Carter. "We've got to help Little Spider."
"Too late."
Carter stared at the calming glacier, brows furrowed.
"A fully unleashed Superman—can Charlie handle him?"
…
"Damn it! Why's that guy so strong? The invincible Spider-Man's no match!!"
Cosmic Web. Charlie's vision went black, ending his last journey.
He clutched his head, only recalling that red-and-blue Superman suit.
Restart!
Seventh Resurrection Match!
On the Kryptonian ship, Charlie got the Kryptonite.
"I'll count to three."
Bang!!
With a massive crash, prepared, Charlie swung his fist. The ship trembled, raw power sending shockwaves through the hull. The weakened Zod and his crew were pulped instantly, while Steve and the others were flung into alloy walls.
The ground beneath Charlie cratered, his spider-suit shedding metal fragments under the force.
Before him, Clark stood bathed in a faint glow, his Superman suit hugging exaggerated muscles, the S emblem gleaming brilliantly.
An invisible pressure hit. Charlie's spider-sense screamed, but he couldn't move.
He was numb.
His body froze, ignoring his brain's commands.
Finally, he moved, but his legs gave out, collapsing. He couldn't recover quickly.
Looking up, he saw Clark's icy face and the red veins in his eyes.
"No way? Blackened and seven times stronger?"
He understood instantly.
As expected, Spider-Man was scripted to lose to Superman.
Even the invincible Spider-Man.
Grinning, he said, "Big guy, don't hit the face."
Clark's eyes flickered, slowly raising his fist.
Boom!!

Eighth Resurrection Match.
Empire State Building, under the antenna.
Charlie sat cross-legged, chin in hand, thinking.
Clark's power was fully unleashed. A peak Superman was invincible, and even Kryptonite couldn't stop him—terrifying.
He couldn't let Clark get involved this time.
Reviewing his last plan, he found Wade.
Bar.
"I won't forgive you…"
"Deadpool is Spider-Man's best friend, bar none."
"Uh, I'm not used to you being so sincere."
Charlie's heartfelt words softened Wade's heart.
"What do you need help with?" he asked.
Charlie said, "Undercover game."
Wade's eyes lit up. "I'm in."
"Good. I'm sending you to the Antarctic. There's a Kryptonian ship. Do exactly as I say…"
Soon, Charlie sent Wade to the Antarctic.
Three minutes later, Wade's "corpse" was tossed out like garbage.
Charlie covered his face.
Without Clark, the undercover plan failed.
Again!
…
Ninth Resurrection Match.
Outside the Kryptonian ship, Wade brought the invincible Spider-Man.
"General Zod, I brought the guy."
Click~
The hatch opened, and Zod led his warriors to surround them.
Zod eyed them, asking Wade, "Who are you?"
"I'm Batman, or you can call me—"
Before Wade could ramble, Zod waved, and the soldiers swarmed.
"Ah!! Pain pain pain, Kryptonians are beating Batman!!"
"Jerk, I told you, there's a real Batman here… don't hit the face!!"
…
Tenth Resurrection Match.
This time, Charlie wasn't messing around.
Soon, Spider-Man infiltrated the Kryptonian ship.
Beep beep beep~ Intruder detected. Take action immediately.
The moment shrunken Spider-Man slipped in, alarms blared.
Zod was always on guard, with plenty of anti-Spider-Man measures.
In the command room ceiling, as magical sparks flickered, spatial interference devices activated.
Buzz~
Crack!
The portal shattered, and a fist the size of a sandbag shot out.
Boom!!
With a deafening crash, Spider-Man was blasted out, plunging into the icy sea.
At the ship's hole, Zod floated.
"Guard this place. The bug's mine."
"Yes."
Faora and the others obeyed as Zod surged with a violent shockwave toward Charlie's last location.
Soon, dazzling sword light flashed, and sea waves roared.
Meanwhile, the ship's alarms sounded again.
Beep beep beep~ Intruder detected…
"It's Spider-Man's friends."
"Capture them."
"Yes."
The Kryptonian warriors moved again.
At the same time, Spider-Man reappeared near the ship.
Buzz~
Duplicates flashed, radiant beams slicing the sky, crimson rays cutting through the ship.
Zzzzt~
Boom!!!
The ship took damage. Faora, chasing Steve, paled.
"Damn, that bug's still here!!"
"Yes, I'm here. Always have been."
The command room ceiling shattered, and Charlie grabbed the Kryptonite.
Elsewhere, Wade, chest pierced by Zod's fist, held the Necrosword high, screaming, "Stop! I surrender! I'm not Spider-Man, I'm Batman…"
"What?"
Realizing he'd been tricked, Zod's face twisted.
The Kryptonian ship exploded, and Faora's weakened crew was consumed by flames.
Buzz~
A portal appeared. Under Kryptonite's glow, Zod couldn't react before his face was smashed by a sandbag-sized fist.
Boom!!
His headless body fell to the sea. The invincible Spider-Man was invincible again.
On the Cosmic Web, Charlie spread his arms, embracing the world.
"Hm, this calls for applause."
Clap clap…
Wade clapped, shrieking, "Woo-hoo~ Spider-Man, I love you, you're the best!!"
"Shh!"
Charlie put a finger to his lips, signaling to keep it low.
But soon, he frowned again.
Zod was gone, yet no mission success prompt appeared.
So…
It wasn't over.
He racked his brain, wondering what he'd missed.
Finally, as the sunlight grew brighter, Charlie looked up.
Clark!
Right, he was the key.
As if sensing something, Charlie raised his head.
In blinding sunlight, a robust figure floated in golden light, like a god.
Red-and-blue suit, cape billowing, the radiant S emblem glowing with hope.
No, not hope—despair.
Charlie's eyes narrowed, spider-sense screaming, but he didn't run.
Without Zod, Clark still got the suit, unlocking his full potential, becoming the match's power ceiling.
What happened?
He didn't know.
Staring at Superman Clark, he said, "Can we talk?"
Clark's eyes bled red, a creepy smile curling his lips.
"You can die."
He raised his fist, the void trembling.
Boom!!
One punch dimmed the blazing sunlight.
Before dying, Charlie left one line.
"I hope you use the same force on Batman, or it's not fair to me."
Clark: "???"
…
Eleventh Resurrection Match.
"Can we talk?"
"You can die."
…
Twelfth Resurrection Match.
"Can we talk?"
"You can die. You won't escape."
…
Thirteenth Resurrection Match: Sealed pre-blackened Clark with magic. Clark still appeared.
Twentieth Resurrection Match: Used Clark's parents to threaten him. Clark still attacked.
Thirtieth Resurrection Match: Killed pre-blackened Clark. Clark still revived.
Thirty-sixth Resurrection Match: Did nothing. Clark still found him.
Forty-fourth Resurrection Match.
Empire State Building, under the antenna.
Charlie lay flat, giving up.
"Can't win. No way to win!"
He sighed at the sky.
He'd tried everything, but couldn't avoid Superman's judgment.
Even killing pre-blackened Clark or destroying his body, Clark always appeared, killing Spider-Man with terrifying blackened strength.
So, this match meant dying by Zod or Superman—either way, a Kryptonian's hand.
That was Spider-Man's tragic fate in the DC Universe.
Wait.
Charlie sat up suddenly.
If Spider-Man was fated to die by a Kryptonian, there should be an order of precedence.
This Resurrection Match had more than one Spider-Man.
With that, he sprang into action.
Amusement park. He found Third-Gen Peter.
"No time to soothe your broken heart. Help me this time, and I'll get your love back from Mephisto."
Third-Gen Peter froze.
"That's possible?"
"Of course."
"How?"
"If Mephisto won't return your love, I'll trade mine for yours. You know, the invincible Spider-Man doesn't need love—it just makes me weak."
Charlie said earnestly, "Really weak."
Third-Gen Peter: "…"
