Chapter 288 - Ch.288 Spider-Man’s Friendly Reminder: Watch Your Underwear!!

Paradise Island, Council Hall.

"Mother, there's not just one Spider-Man—they've got a ton of twins."

Diana, having escaped back to Paradise Island, spoke urgently.

Antiope quietly corrected her, "They're siblings, not twins."

Diana paused. "No need to sweat the details."

On the high platform, Hippolyta gazed at her safely returned daughter, her face still etched with worry.

She scanned the gathered Amazon warriors and took a deep breath.

"Those Spider-Men have summoned terrifying sea monsters outside. They could invade our home at any moment. We must prepare for a fight to the death."

Antiope frowned. "Sea monsters? Is Atlantis helping them?"

Hippolyta shook her head. "No, these aren't like Atlantis's sea mounts. They're creatures corrupted by evil, with terrifying eyes and razor-sharp teeth. They're horrific. They'll carry those Spider-Men through the divine barrier to Paradise Island, tearing our people apart."

"Mother, let me lead the fight to stop them," Diana volunteered, her gaze resolute.

"Diana~"

Hippolyta's eyes were conflicted as she looked at her daughter, her heart torn.

She didn't want Diana caught up in war, becoming a sacrificial pawn or a weapon.

But the evil Spider-Man was too terrifying.

Except for Diana, imbued with Zeus's divine power, no one could stop those Spider-Men.

After an internal struggle, Hippolyta relented.

If Paradise Island fell, Diana's fate would be grim.

Better to fight to the death than be a captive again.

A warrior dies on the battlefield!

With that resolve, Hippolyta raised a hand, ordering soldiers to bring a full set of divine artifacts.

The purple-red armor gleamed with radiant light, its dark gold edges etched with mysterious runes.

The Lasso of Truth flickered with golden light, binding enemies inescapably and forcing them to speak the truth.

The ancient round shield bore the marks of time, crafted from Paradise Island's mystical metal, capable of withstanding powerful attacks, its edges sharp enough to slice.

Paired with the shield was the Godslayer Sword, forged by Hephaestus, said to kill gods—an Amazon treasure.

Diana's eyes shone as she gazed at the artifacts.

She could sense they were crafted for her.

Hippolyta, watching Diana's eager expression, grew even more worried.

Was this truly her path?

She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, then opened them and beckoned Diana closer.

"Diana, these, like the silver bracelets on your wrists, will grant you great power to protect the Amazons." She forced a smile.

Diana's expression grew solemn as she gripped the Godslayer Sword's hilt.

In an instant, the sword glowed faintly, responding.

"Mother, I'll defeat them."

Meanwhile, beyond the storm.

Lizard Parker was still yelling, but the other Spider-Men, surprisingly, didn't join in.

Invading someone's home, even as a charade, wasn't something they could stomach.

Yes, Spider-Man had some dignity.

Seeing this, Charlie had to take matters into his own hands.

"Useless bunch of losers, I'll do it myself!"

Transforming into the classic frustrated supervillain, Charlie leaped into the air, drawing the Black Death Sword from the void.

Hum!

Rip!

A blood-red sword slash tore across the sky, scattering thunderclouds and shattering waves, cleaving a rift in the endless storm.

"Charge!"

Lizard Parker led the charge, racing toward Paradise Island in the storm's heart.

Splash splash splash~~

At the island's shore, as the giant whale neared the mangroves, the black liquid abandoned the whale without hesitation, slipping into the mangroves to possess a fish.

Flap flap flap~

The venom-infused fish slapped its tail, weaving through underwater deadwood before leaping out of the water.

Whoosh~

The black liquid left the fish, latching onto a shore frog. The venom frog leaped dozens of meters into the jungle.

In the shallows, Lizard Parker swam frantically.

"Hey, wait for me! You're my pet now—don't rush too fast, you'll crash into crap!!" he shouted.

Countless sea creatures were abandoned by the symbiotes, the dense black liquid flooding the mangroves to find new temporary hosts, possessing various creatures and charging inland.

In the mangroves, the Spider-Men swung on webs, quickly overtaking Lizard Parker and vanishing into the jungle.

Seeing this, Lizard Parker had no choice but to transform into his lizard form to cross the mangroves.

Because he didn't have webs.

Whoosh~~

The giant green lizard swam through the mangroves, encountering several female lizards' mating calls along the way.

Lizard Parker insisted he wasn't that kind of lizard.

He was from New York, not some random jungle.

Soon, he caught up with the Spider Legion.

On the shore, the Spider-Men gathered, surrounded by venom-possessed creatures.

Giant pythons, deer, lizards, rabbits, seagulls, wild horses, insects—all shared the same eerie white, narrow eyes and jagged teeth.

They looked badass together.

But one question baffled the Peter Parkers.

"Strange, why not let the symbiotes bond with us? Why animals? It's so inconvenient," Muscle Peter puzzled.

Lizard Parker, climbing ashore, grinned. "Why else? So you don't go wild."

Venom Parker nodded. "Exactly. I'm one of the symbiote's victims."

His demonic face extended. "Oh, Peter, that hurts my feelings."

Venom grumbled, and Parker quickly apologized, soothing his partner.

Magic sparks flickered as Charlie arrived with Supreme Peter and the others.

Lizard Parker's face fell, then he accused in the cold wind, "Jerk, you can open portals! Why make us charge?!"

Charlie smirked. "It's more dramatic this way."

Lizard Parker: "…"

"What's next?" Thunder God Peter asked.

Charlie looked at the plain ahead, where the Amazon warriors had assembled, and smiled faintly.

"Good, they're quick. Next, we charge."

"Don't worry, we won't hurt them," Muscle Peter thumped his chest.

Charlie's eye twitched. "I'm very reassured."

Even with symbiotes, these guys were no match for the Amazons.

Because they were a bunch of Spider-Men.

Lizard Parker volunteered boldly.

"I'll lead the charge!!"

He shouted, then looked around. "Where's my temp pet?"

Hiss~

A black symbiote lizard slowly approached.

Lizard Parker fell silent.

A lizard-man riding a giant lizard into battle was too picturesque.

"Can I switch to a venom horse?" He pointed at a venom wild horse.

"No way, that's my partner," Muscle Peter protected his horse.

Lizard Parker took a deep breath. "Fine, it's low-class, but it should be strong."

He climbed onto the symbiote lizard's back.

"Charge!!"

Hiss~

A comical scene unfolded.

Clop clop clop~

The venom wild horse sped past Lizard Parker, leading the charge.

"Hey, I'm the general! Wait for me!!" Lizard Parker chased.

Muscle Peter laughed. "Sure thing, Lizard General."

"Jerk, you're mocking me!!" Lizard Parker urged his lizard. "Buddy, catch that guy! We can't lose."

Symbiote lizard: "…"

It rolled its eyes, crawling sluggishly.

Then a symbiote turtle overtook it.

Lizard Parker: "…"

A venom rabbit followed, passing him.

"No way, the tortoise-and-hare race is real?"

Staring at the turtle outrunning the rabbit, Lizard Parker lost it.

As more symbiote animals charged across the plain, Hippolyta gave the order to attack.

"Diana, it's up to you."

"Mother, I'll defeat them."

At the army's forefront, Diana, in her armor, rode a warhorse, Lasso of Truth at her waist, sword and shield raised as she shouted.

"Defend the Amazons!!"

"Defend the Amazons!"

"Charge!!"

Clop clop clop~~

Thousands of horses thundered forward, their momentum dwarfing the Spider Legion.

Boom~~

The Amazon warriors kicked up a storm of dust, quickly clashing with the Spider Legion.

"Kill!!"

Boom~~

In a flash, Diana's army scattered the Spider Legion.

Hum!!

Slash~

The Godslayer Sword sang, slicing a venom horse in half.

Splatter~~

The black liquid abandoned the horse's corpse, slithering toward Diana's mount.

Neigh!!

The horse screamed as the black liquid engulfed it, sprouting narrow eyes and jagged teeth, turning it demonic.

It reared uncontrollably, throwing Diana off with immense force.

"What?"

Diana's face changed. She flipped mid-air, landing perfectly, and sliced an ambushing symbiote monster.

"Guys, this woman's too scary! Watch out for her sword!!" Venom Parker shouted, dodging the Godslayer Sword. His head morphed into a black drill, burrowing underground.

"Damn it, our first deserter!!" Muscle Peter cursed, his spider-sense blaring.

"Wait, I'm not ready—"

Shunk!!

A spear pierced his shoulder into the ground, making him break out in a cold sweat.

"Damn, this isn't what I imagined! I don't know how to fight wars!!"

He fled, chased by dozens of warriors poking at him.

"Peter, I'm here to save you!!"

Invisible Peter darted through the battlefield, underwear flying in his wake.

"Ah!!"

"My panties…"

"We can't see that guy…"

The warriors screamed, covering themselves, faces red.

Invisible Peter was pleased.

This effectively reduced the enemy's fighting power.

Lizard Parker, just joining the battle, saw this glorious sight and gave a thumbs-up.

"Peter, nice work!"

Before he finished, a golden lasso snaked through the crowd, binding him.

Lizard Parker: "?????"

He looked at the golden lasso. "What's this?"

Muscle Peter ran by, and Lizard Parker blurted out, "Peter, you run like a dog."

"What?"

Muscle Peter fumed. "You're begging for a beating!"

"Ha, think I'm scared?"

Lizard Parker taunted, "Honestly, your muscles are ugly. Bet you didn't take protein powder."

"Go to hell!"

"Wait, this lasso—agh! Not the face!!"

Lizard Parker's screams echoed across the battlefield.

Diana retrieved the lasso and flung it toward the Spider Legion's rear.

Whizz~

The Lasso of Truth slithered like a serpent, reaching Charlie in an instant.

Charlie didn't resist, letting it bind him.

"Got you!"

Diana's face lit up. She leaped high, stepping on a symbiote seagull to vault toward the Spider Legion's rear.

"Spider-Man, it's over!!"

As she landed, the Godslayer Sword rested on Charlie's neck.

Their eyes locked, the world slowing around them.

Charlie remained calm. Though the sword was 0.01 centimeters from his throat, he was certain that in a third of a second, its wielder would desperately want to kill him.

"Watch your underwear," Charlie said suddenly.

"What?"

Diana froze, recalling the warriors who'd lost their panties.

Instinctively, she glanced down, realizing something was off.

Too late!

Charlie, bound by the Lasso of Truth, lunged forward.

"Friendly reminder: you should've tied my legs too."

With that, he headbutted Diana, sending her flying.

Boom!!

A deafening crash. Diana smashed through the battlefield like a cannonball, plowing through the earth and crashing into a boulder.

Crash!

The boulder shattered. Diana, clutching her forehead, fumed.

"How? He was bound by the Lasso of Truth—how could he lie?" She was incredulous.

Charlie's body surged with black liquid, the power of evil and destruction erupting, breaking the Lasso's hold.

He toyed with the Lasso, his expression grave.

"This thing's too evil," he remarked.

Supreme Peter, who'd been hanging back, flashed to Charlie's side.

"I don't sense evil in the Lasso," he said seriously.

Charlie glanced at him. "It made me voice my darkest thoughts. That's not evil enough?"

Supreme Peter: "…"

So you actually meant watch her underwear?

You jerk!!

He mentally cursed.

Meanwhile, across the ocean, on another battlefield.

Ares, disguised as Sir Patrick, sensed something and turned toward the other side of the Earth.

"The aura of a divine war among the Amazons!"

Greed gleamed in his eyes. He abandoned his current war's power, setting off to find this divine conflict.

The aura was faint, but he was confident he could steer this war toward endless bloodshed.

He couldn't recall how long it had been since he'd tasted a war between "gods."

He missed the battles of gods against evil.

It was his lost youth.
