Small Color 2
An arid wind blew over the sharp craggy rock of Small Color's western region. It was a desolate place with absolutely no sign of life. The wind whistled over the rock as the sun blazed high in the sky.
A mercurial silver line shimmered like silver liquid quite a distance above the ground. It widened and formed into a tall door of flowing liquid silver. This watery portal rippled from top to bottom, side to side, and in concentric circles starting from its center. This ripping continually met within the portal and canceled each other out. As they did this shimmers of rainbow color ran across the ripples and through the portal.
Then the door began to ripple lengthwise and Rachel stepped through. She looked around as she moved several feet away from the door so others could follow.
She watched the horizon to make sure that they were not detected. She had intentionally opened the door in this remote part of the western area of Small Color.
