"What happened afterward?" I was shocked to hear that they hadn't been living a very loving life before her demise.
I could tell why. Emmet was a teenager himself, and he had been burdened with responsibilities. Of course, it couldn't have been easy for the brothers to watch their little brother go through a painful transformation every full moon. And then there was Azura, she wasn't helping him either.
What he told me made me feel like she was really being difficult.
"Norman asked me to look after Kaye and Maximus because I wasn't in the state to carry Azura to the hospital. He took her there, and that's how the night ended," he paused before softly adding, "The morning I returned home, I also found out she had gone missing from the hospital."
That's when I began to remember that Emmet had once accused Norman of being behind Azura's murder.
