When selecting Skills to apply the tools to, Luca chose only Straightaway Chopping for all three Catalysts. He remembered he was still 1/3 shards away from unlocking a new Car Skill by accumulating from completed Self Skills. So, by bringing Straightaway Chopping a fraction closer to completion, Luca could count that one as accomplished.
He then distributed the Wrenches in the ratio of 2 to 3 to Gripper and Yaw Flex respectively. Hence, Sync Buff was completed with this sudden boost.
