Chapter 29 - **Chapter 29: Call Me the God of Humanity!**

The sun rises in the east...

Leon wakes up from his slumber.

Yesterday was exhausting. It's true what they say, people only get things done when they're pushed! After procrastinating for so long, when it was time to finally act, wasn't it done in a flash, like a sharp blade cutting through the mess?

As usual, he lay in bed, collecting his thoughts.

After taking care of Kingpin yesterday, Leon came straight home to sleep. It wasn't until he was almost home that he regretted something: he forgot to swipe some valuable artwork or antiques from Kingpin's place!

What does it mean to leave empty-handed from a treasure mountain?!

Exactly that.

Lying in bed, Leon started to replay the whole event in his mind.

There wasn't much to dwell on, just two main issues.

**First, intelligence.**

With Leon's current strength, he could've gone straight for the big boss from the start, no need for the whole hero's journey of slaying smaller enemies to gain experience before facing the final boss. But Leon, being an ordinary guy with no connections and no hacking skills, had no other choice! He had to start small and work his way up, asking questions along the way to get to the top guy.

This issue couldn't be rushed, though. Eventually, things will work out!

**Second, his personality.**

Leon knew that his carefree, reckless attitude was bound to cause trouble someday! But it's not something easily fixed—changing your personality isn't easy. Plus, Leon wasn't too keen on changing it!

"If I change, would I still be me?!"

Better to embrace the flaws and keep making mistakes, learning along the way, right?

After this "perfect" (questionable) recap, Leon was fully awake.

He got up, washed up, and decided not to eat out today. Grabbing some bread to make do, he sat down on the only chair in his room and began to pray sincerely.

"I'll devote my whole life to raising you, you wretched thing~"

"Grant me the power of breast cancer... and lung cancer!"

Prayers complete!

**[System: God of Humanity!]**

Ho ho ho! It's time for another fun lottery spin!

Leon still didn't know if the system counted Wesley's death or not. There was no record of it, leaving him clueless.

But that didn't matter!

The important thing was that he leveled up!

Before spinning the lottery, Leon decided to distribute some points first!

Thanks to Wesley, a certain cosplayer (Owl), Bullseye, and the biggest reward—Kingpin, Leon's level jumped by three, and he earned 15 stat points to distribute!

"Hahaha! Who can stop me now?! Becoming Superman isn't a dream anymore!"

Leon: From now on, call me Superman! Thank you!

After the last level-up, Leon's four stats were as follows:

**Strength**: 19

**Agility**: 22

**Stamina**: 19

**Intelligence**: 17

Agility had already surpassed the limits of an ordinary human, and breaking through even granted him a skill: *Speed Burst*.

Though it was still at level 1, and compared to his level 2 *Flying Technique*, it wasn't getting enough use to level up faster.

He wondered if breaking through the other three attributes would also grant him skills!

Currently, Leon preferred a balanced approach, upgrading all four attributes equally. In the Marvel universe, where bizarre and powerful beings abound, focusing on a single stat might provide a temporary boost in power, but if faced with a counter, it would be a fatal flaw.

As a meticulous person, Leon couldn't allow that to happen!

"Balanced development is the way!"

After some fiddling, his stats became:

**Strength**: 23 (+4)

**Agility**: 24 (+2)

**Stamina**: 23 (+4)

**Intelligence**: 22 (+5)

With this, Leon's attributes had surpassed those of a normal person across the board. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say Leon could now call himself: **Superman**.

Though he'd still get beaten by Superman from the neighboring universe.

As expected, breaking through Strength, Stamina, and Intelligence granted him new skills!

**Invisible Slaughter (Strength)**

Effect: Deals an additional 10% damage when attacking enemies.

Level: 1

Note: The deadliest blade is the one you can't see!

Leon was overjoyed! A 10% bonus at level 1? What would it be at level 10—1000% damage?!

A punch worth ten punches! What kind of power is that?!

In other words, a billion punches! You get it, right? Cue the applause!

---

**Light of Revival (Stamina)**

Effect: Increases health regeneration of allied units by 10%.

Level: 1 (currently affects a 10-meter radius and 1 ally).

Note: If the Grim Reaper schedules your death, I'll reschedule it on the spot!

This skill was awesome for survival! And it could even boost allies!

Leon: Who's going to call me a vet now?!

---

**Eye of Truth (Intelligence)**

Effect: Can detect creatures, energy forms, anomalies, etc., that are invisible to the naked eye. Effectiveness depends on Intelligence and skill level.

Level: 1

Note: You farted! Don't deny it, I saw it!

Leon: Hmm... so I can moonlight as a witch doctor now?

This note is really sketchy...

How is he supposed to test this ability?! Maybe chat with Ghost Rider?

Forget it, that's something Thanos would do.

Besides, what's the use of seeing something if you can't touch it?!

Wait, maybe not… you could run away!

With *Flying Technique* at level 2, he's faster than a bike!

Anyway, better than nothing!

---

After distributing the points, Leon rubbed his hands like a fly, looking shady and creepy: It's time for the lottery!!!!!!

As expected, the system had upgraded. No matter how many small enemies you clear, defeating one big boss is always more rewarding!

It's disproportionate!

Kingpin alone provided enough purification to equal 200 low-level henchmen!

Though the upgraded system's new experience bar looked daunting, that was a problem for future Leon.

"Why should today's me worry about tomorrow's problems?!"

Leon first checked the quality of the prize pool.

Previously, the system had explained that items were classified into: White, Green, Blue, Purple, and Gold!

But so far, Leon could only draw blue items, and with just a 10% chance.

Luckily, it wasn't as bad as a certain company's drop rates!

Otherwise, he wouldn't even get a ring!

After the upgrade, the system's prize pool odds had indeed changed:

**[Purification Value Prize Pool]**

Probability: 40% White, 30% Green, 20% Blue, 10% Purple.

The chances of getting trash (white items) decreased, and the odds of getting green and blue items increased. Most importantly, purple items were now possible!

"One draw costs 500 purification points?! It used to be 300! It's targeting my wallet!"

Leon currently had 6,125 purification points. He'd hoped to get two 10x pulls after the upgrade, with 6,000 points being enough!

"Hmph..."

What else could he do?

Leon felt despair!

Could he protest? Not likely. Might as well spin!
