Behind him were the same Martial Gods who had helped Lin San teleport to Sand Sea City earlier, as well as some unfamiliar faces.
"The ancient ruins have vanished!?" one of the Martial Gods exclaimed, eyes widening as he glanced behind Lin San.
The massive stone gate that had once stood had collapsed, and the ancient ruin that had been within was now gone.
The space had disappeared!
"Yes," Lin San nodded slightly.
"Wait... I sense the power of an Emperor on him…" a white-haired Martial God said in a trembling voice, his eyes widening with realization.
"The power of an Emperor!?" As his words echoed, all the surrounding Martial Gods stared at Lin San, their eyes filled with shock.
"Did you receive the Emperor's inheritance!?" one of the Nine-Star Martial Gods asked in disbelief, clearly excited.
"Emperor?" Lin San frowned, confused.
"Wasn't it just a Martial God King inside…?"
The other Martial Gods, upon hearing the Nine-Star Martial Gods' words, were also astonished. According to legend, only ancient Martial God Kings were supposed to inhabit these ruins.
But based on what these Nine-Star Martial Gods were saying, it seemed there had been a figure of Divine Emperor level inside!
"The Eastern Emperor," one of the Nine-Star Martial Gods explained with a calm voice as he glanced at the others.
"The Eastern Emperor!?"
The mention of these four words shocked all the Martial Gods in the vicinity.
The legendary and incredibly powerful Eastern Emperor had long disappeared—how could he have been inside these ancient ruins?
"If you are the inheritor of the Emperor, then you are the new Emperor," the Nine-Star Martial God said, his voice full of respect as he knelt down in front of Lin San.
"Greetings, Emperor!"
"Greetings, Emperor!" the surrounding Martial Gods echoed, all kneeling before Lin San with reverence.
"You all…"
Lin San was momentarily stunned. He had initially thought that these people were under the Divine Emperors' command and might try to target him after realizing he had inherited the Eastern Emperor's power.
But he hadn't expected things to turn out like this.
"We were aware of the treachery that led to the Emperor's downfall," one of the Nine-Star Martial Gods said earnestly as he and the others gathered around Lin San.
"We hope you can reclaim the Divine Court and become the new Eastern Emperor, following the path of the one whose legacy you now carry."
A white-haired Martial God spoke with great seriousness, and the other Nine-Star Martial Gods all looked at Lin San, their expressions equally solemn.
"No," Lin San shook his head and replied earnestly, "For now, my priority is to eliminate the Demon God Kings who have invaded the Martial God Realm."
What mattered most to him now was finding and killing those Demon God Kings, reclaiming the fragments for his sword, and further strengthening his power.
"Help me locate where the Demon Gods are invading nearby," Lin San commanded without waiting for them to respond.
The Martial Gods exchanged glances before one of them spoke, "The Demon God Kings have joined forces and taken control of 18 main cities in the east."
"The other God Kings of the Martial God Realm have gathered and are preparing to fight back."
"Should we head over and join the other God Kings?" another Nine-Star Martial God asked.
"No need. I'll go alone," Lin San replied, his eyes narrowing.
"I will slay them all!" he declared firmly.

Meanwhile, in the eastern main city of Rock Giant City, several Demon God Kings had gathered together, drinking the blood of Martial Gods as if it were wine.

A dark-skinned Demon God King laughed boisterously as he celebrated with his fellow kings.
