Chapter 361 - Chapter 361: The Arrival of a Powerhouse from the Upper Realm

Thud!

With a dull thud, a young man dressed in luxurious attire clutched his stomach, his face twisted in agony.

"Is this all you've got?"

Qin Zi sneered, slowly retracting his fist as the man's body slid down and collapsed, kneeling in front of him.

"You... you..."

The young man, drooling and in pain, struggled to lift his head. But due to the angle, all he saw was a "tent" propped up in front of him.

"This!!"

His eyes widened.

The words he wanted to say were swallowed back.

He suddenly felt inadequate.

"Heh, you're not good enough."

Qin Zi laughed mockingly and then lifted his knee sharply, striking the man's chin and sending him flipping backward through the air.

Boom!

The young man was thoroughly defeated.

"With such little talent, you dare come after me? You should take a good look at yourself in the mirror."

Qin Zi scoffed disdainfully. As usual, he approached the half-dead man and thoroughly looted him.

He left nothing behind—not even the undergarments.

After all, there was no need to worry, as divine light would cover him regardless.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a sense of danger surged from the depths of his heart. Qin Zi quickly dodged to the side as a streak of red light narrowly grazed past him.

Boom, boom, boom!

Several mountains in the distance were pierced through in succession before the red light embedded itself into a giant boulder, emitting smoke.

It was a crimson arrow!

"Heh, you managed to dodge that. It seems you have some skill after all. I didn't expect to find such a talent in the fallen Xuanhuang Heaven."

A playful voice echoed from behind.

Qin Zi turned to look.

Standing before him was a young man in silver-white armor, holding a large crimson bow. His silver hair shimmered in the sunlight.

The young man exuded a noble and overpowering aura, with a glowing halo surrounding him, radiating a sense of superiority.

"Who are you?" Qin Zi asked coldly.

"Luozhen!"

The silver-haired youth raised his head arrogantly.

"Never heard of you."

Qin Zi responded indifferently.

"Heh, of course, you haven't. We've just descended from the Upper Realm to this fallen Xuanhuang Heaven."

The silver-haired youth sneered.

"Why did you attack me?" Qin Zi questioned.

"My master heard that you and your father are the most dazzling geniuses of this era in Xuanhuang Heaven. He's interested in recruiting you both."

The silver-haired youth spoke loftily, looking down on him. "However, from my perspective, mere geniuses from a declining realm may not be worthy of such honor, so naturally, I had to test your strength."

"And who is your so-called master?" Qin Zi asked.

The silver-haired youth raised his head higher and declared proudly, "My master is from the Luo family, a God King Clan in the Upper Realm. You wouldn't understand what a God King Clan is right now, but it's a force beyond your imagination."

Qin Zi remained composed and said lightly, "So, you're just a servant of this Luo family, then?"

The silver-haired youth's face stiffened.

Qin Zi stepped forward, his voice sharp and powerful, "Even if your Luo family's ancestor were to show up, he wouldn't have the right to speak down to me or my father. And yet, you, a mere servant, dare to show such arrogance?!"

Whoosh!

The silver-haired youth was taken aback by Qin Zi's forceful presence. It took him a few seconds to recover, and then his face contorted with rage.

His face flushed with embarrassment, and he barked, "You're a mere ant from the lower realm, and you dare disrespect the God King Clan! You're courting death!"

"Heh, I've never lost to anyone of the same level. If you want to fight, I'll teach you a lesson."

Qin Zi sneered.

"Die!"

The silver-haired youth attacked. As a member of the God King Clan from the Upper Realm, his pride couldn't tolerate such disrespect.

Boom!

The armor surrounding him lit up, and countless runes surged forth, enveloping him in a dazzling glow. He transformed into a colossal Kunpeng, a legendary beast formed from shimmering runes. With a flick of its tail, it charged toward Qin Zi.

The force was so immense that space itself seemed to shatter like paper, and primordial chaos seeped out.

"Six Paths Reincarnation!"

Qin Zi roared, his hands moving swiftly. Countless streams of energy swirled around him, gradually forming six black vortices, which he then pushed forward.

Boom, boom, boom, boom!

The six vortices fused into one before suddenly exploding, releasing an awe-inspiring power.

"Ahhh!!"

The rune-crafted Kunpeng exploded, and the silver-haired youth's armor shattered into pieces. One of his arms was torn off entirely.

He was sent flying backward, crashing into the ground.

"You..."

He tried to speak, but Qin Zi, like a raging bull, charged at him, planting his foot firmly on the young man's chest.

Thud!

Pfft!

A shockwave rippled outward, and the ground beneath them caved in, forming a massive crater riddled with cracks.

The silver-haired youth lay at the bottom of the pit, motionless, barely clinging to life.

"So, this is the strength of a God King Clan from the Upper Realm? Looks like it's not much after all."

Qin Zi sneered down at him.

"You... you may have defeated me, but it means nothing. Offending the God King Clan will only lead to your death."

The silver-haired youth rasped out.

"Idiot."

Qin Zi scoffed and stomped on the young man's head, crushing it completely, both body and soul.

Whoosh!

Another wisp of black energy flew out, entering Qin Zi's body. It was yet another mark of enmity.

But Qin Zi didn't care anymore.

He already had plenty of these hatred marks. One more didn't matter, and besides, even if he didn't kill them, they would keep coming after him unless he and his father became their slaves.

But that would never happen.

Hiss!

High in the sky, hiding among the clouds, Xuan Yuzi sucked in a cold breath. He turned to Qin Chuan and said with a bitter smile, "Young Master Qin is truly ruthless. To kill a member of the God King Clan without hesitation... he is indeed your son."

Qin Chuan stood with his hands behind his back, his expression indifferent. "A mere servant of the God King Clan dares to act so arrogantly. Killing him means nothing."

"Not to mention some minor underlings—even the ancestors of the God King Clan wouldn't dare be so brazen before me!"

Qin Chuan admitted that he was putting on a bit of a front.

However, to Xuan Yuzi's ears, these words only deepened his awe of Qin Chuan, making his respect grow even stronger.

"Young Master, who exactly are you?"

Xuan Yuzi's voice trembled slightly as he asked.

With his back to Xuan Yuzi, Qin Chuan smiled mysteriously. "You'll find out when the time is right."

In truth.

He hadn't yet figured out a suitable identity for himself—one that would be both impressive and impossible to verify.

If he falsely claimed to be some great figure, and then that person actually showed up, it would be a real embarrassment.

Fortunately, there was no rush.

After all, no one knew how many hidden experts were out there in the world. As long as he remained silent, he could keep up the mystery.

"Little brat, I've finally found you!"

Just then, a cold yet gleeful voice rang out. An elderly figure with flowing black hair flew toward them from the distance.

It was none other than Elder Qingyang.

"Not good!"

Qin Zi's face paled, and without a second thought, he prepared to flee. After all, this was a veteran Heavenly God!

"Where do you think you're going? Stay where you are!"

Qingyang laughed maniacally, extending his hand, which expanded until it seemed to blot out the entire sky.

"Take this!"

In a panic, Qin Zi threw several cracked treasures at the massive hand. As they made contact, they exploded simultaneously.

Boom, boom, boom!

Fireballs erupted, and mushroom clouds filled the sky. Yet, the giant hand pushed through the chaos and continued toward Qin Zi. The sheer might behind it was overwhelming.

"Hahaha! Did you really think the power of an ant could challenge the will of the heavens? How pathetic and laughable... now, die!"

Qingyang cackled, his eyes blazing with murderous intent.

Ding! Due to Elder Qingyang's murderous intent toward your son, following the principle of a father's love being as vast as the mountains, your cultivation will temporarily rise to match his—Heavenly God Third Layer, and within this realm, you will be invincible!

The system's voice chimed in.

In an instant, Qin Chuan's cultivation soared as two massive celestial phantoms appeared in his mind, elevating him to the Heavenly God Third Layer.

But instead of acting, he turned to Xuan Yuzi and said, "You go."

"Yes!"

Xuan Yuzi's eyes lit up, seeing this as his moment to shine. He eagerly dashed forward.

Unbeknownst to him, Qin Chuan had sent him to let Qingyang escape.

After all, Elder Qingyang was like a sheep that could still be sheared for wool.

If Qin Chuan had acted personally, he would have had to suppress Qingyang completely. And if he couldn't, it would have been a blow to his pride.

On the other hand, if he did suppress Qingyang, it would hinder Qingyang's recovery, slowing down the rate at which Qin Chuan could "harvest" him.

Thus, Xuan Yuzi was the perfect choice.

The two were evenly matched. After a long fight, Qingyang would likely escape.

Qingyang had already fallen victim to Xuan Yuzi once, and this time, he would be more cautious—surely, he wouldn't fall into the same pit twice, right?
