Buzz!
A radiant burst of purple light erupted from the body of the young man in purple, burning with an intensity that seemed capable of melting everything in its path.
This power was ancient and overwhelming.
Even Qin Zi, at this moment, felt a sense of threat and had a fleeting urge to retreat.
But he did not retreat.
"Hmph! A mere inheritance, what can it do to me?!"
He snorted coldly, and the Beast God's Heart within him glowed, unleashing an ancient and domineering power that filled his entire body.
His right hand continued to press down on the young man in purple, clashing with the radiant purple light.
Pfft pfft pfft!
As his hand collided with the purple glow, it was as if he had grabbed a sea urchin. His hand was instantly pierced by the purple light, leaving it riddled with wounds and dripping with blood.
Yet, as if immune to pain, his bloodied hand continued to push through the purple light until it finally pressed down onto the young man's face.
Boom!
The back of the young man's head smashed into the ground with immense force, creating a half-meter-wide crater on the platform.
Bear in mind, this platform was crafted by Qin Chuan. Although created casually, it was incredibly durable.
The force of this collision was unimaginable.
"I cannot lose! I am the chosen of fate! How could I possibly lose?! Ahhh!!"
The young man in purple lay sprawled on the ground, his eyes bloodshot. Suddenly, he let out a furious roar, his entire body glowing. A purple hemisphere expanded from his body, as if he were igniting his inner cosmos.
Boom!
However, Qin Zi immediately stomped through the purple hemisphere and planted his foot on the young man's frenzied face.
In an instant, the young man's body went rigid, then completely limp. The purple light around him gradually dissipated.
Qin Zi withdrew his foot.
He looked down and saw the young man's face, now marked with a bright red shoe print. Blood trickled unevenly from his nostrils, and his mouth hung open. His eyes stared vacantly at the sky, as if all his dreams had been shattered.
"Heh, so this is what you were so arrogant about?"
Qin Zi sneered, mocking him. "Chosen of fate? In front of me, who dares to call themselves that?"
The young man in purple trembled.
It seemed his spirit had been crushed once more, but he remained motionless, his gaze hollow and dazed.
"However, despite your defeat, your strength isn't bad. Among the younger generation today, not many can even injure me."
Suddenly, Qin Zi's tone shifted.
He pulled out a token, bent down, and placed it beside the young man's neck. "You've earned the right to a token. Within Qingye Celestial Sect, great opportunities await. When you grow stronger, we'll fight again."
The young man didn't react.
Several seconds passed.
He slowly turned his head to glance at the token before listlessly turning his gaze back to the sky.
Then, a few more seconds later...
Suddenly, he flipped over, jumping to his feet in one swift motion. He hurriedly bent down to pick up the token.
Stretching both arms forward, he raised the token high above his head, brushing back his disheveled hair with both hands in one smooth motion, from his forehead to the back of his head. Tilting his head at a forty-five-degree angle, he took a dramatic breath, his face displaying a look of blissful satisfaction and wisdom.
Buzz buzz buzz!
As he made this gesture, purple halos appeared above his head, descending from top to bottom and encircling his body before dispersing into the ground.
Magically, as the halos passed over him, his once disheveled clothes became neat and pristine, spotless and immaculate!
The shoe print on his face, the blood from his nose, and his bruises—all vanished in an instant. He once again stood there, looking as noble and elegant as before.
His eyes were calm, his presence transcendent.
In contrast, Qin Zi's clothes were now messy, even slightly torn, and his right hand bore numerous bloody cuts, still dripping blood.
The difference was stark!
"What the..."
Qin Zi stood there dumbfounded, completely unprepared for this spectacle. He never imagined that after losing, this guy would still manage to pull off such a flamboyant display.
Despite being beaten like a dog, he gave off the impression of a victor. Truly, this man was a talent!
Buzz!
At that moment, the black barrier covering the battle platform also dissipated.
Immediately, all eyes were on the two of them.
There was a brief silence before the crowd erupted into chaos!
"Qin Zi lost?!"
"He defeated Qin Zi? That's impossible! Qin Zi's a monster—who could defeat him?"
"But... the truth speaks for itself. Look at them! Isn't the outcome obvious? He even has the token in his hand."
"Yes, the token!"
"He really did beat Qin Zi. Unbelievable!"
Gasps filled the air as people drew sharp breaths.
One of the Martial Emperors inhaled too much cold air at once, causing the temperature around him to rise sharply. The heat incinerated those standing too close, their screams echoing through the crowd.
"Ten years from now, we'll fight again. Next time, don't disappoint me."
The young man in purple said this calmly before leaping into the sky, flying off into the distance.
His destination was clear—Qingye Celestial Sect. By now, its location was no longer a secret.
"You..."
Qin Zi took a deep breath, clenching his fists, suddenly feeling the urge to punch something.
Damn it!
That guy was too good at acting. Even though he'd been beaten into the ground, he made it look as though he had won!
And the worst part?
There was no way to explain it!
How could he possibly explain this to the onlookers? Tell them that he had actually won and had just been rubbing this guy's face in the dirt?
They'd probably sneer at him and say, Before you claim victory, maybe patch yourself up first!
And so, he had no choice but to let this guy steal the spotlight. As people nowadays say... damn it, he pulled it off!
"Heh, so this is Qin Zi? Doesn't seem as formidable as the rumors suggest."
At that moment, a proud voice echoed through the crowd.
Whoosh!
Everyone turned to see a striking young man in white, walking calmly through the air toward them.
A faint white glow surrounded him, and behind him, it seemed as though a full moon floated in the sky, giving him an aura of sanctity and purity.
"You want a token too?" Qin Zi shot him a cold glance.
"The inheritance of Qingye Celestial Sect may not be the most prestigious, but it's worth taking a look at."
The young man in white smiled.
His tone was grand.
It was as though, in his eyes, Qingye Celestial Sect wasn't that impressive. And judging by his aura and demeanor, his confidence wasn't mere arrogance.
"You think you can defeat me?"
Qin Zi asked coldly.
"Heh, while I don't claim to be invincible in this world, defeating you... is hardly a challenge."
The young man in white smiled faintly. Though his words seemed casual, they carried an overwhelming sense of confidence—perhaps even more than the young man in purple.
