In the huge Land of Iron, looking at the mess all over the ground, Mifune sighed.
Even though he had expected it, seeing it still made him sad. This was the samurai nation, after all.
"Don't worry, Lord Mifune. The Five Great Nations will fully support the Land of Iron's recovery." The one speaking was Tsuchikage Onoki. He was floating in the sky right now, staring at the wrecked land below. He wasn't exactly moved, but he felt a bit shocked.
This kind of power, if it hit the Land of Earth, the whole place would probably go flying into the air.
No, not just the Land of Earth. No country could stand up to such a strong attack.
The main issue was the people fighting in this battle. They couldn't be stopped.
Thinking of that, Onoki turned his head and looked into the distance. Over there, the nine tailed beasts were sitting on the ground with their huge bodies, and a bunch of people stood in the middle.
Mifune looked that way too. After a moment, he turned to Onoki. "Lord Onoki, aren't you going to join in? The other four Kage are there."
"I'll pass. I'm just an old man. I should have retired long ago." Onoki looked up at the sky. His tone sounded carefree, but he was really worried deep down. "Still, finding someone good for the next generation in the Land of Earth... I just can't find anyone I'm happy with."
The Land of Earth had been short on talent for years, not just one or two days. Mifune didn't say anything in response.
On the other side, Kushina held Naruto and Sasuke tight. Tears ran down her face, and it was hard to tell if they were from fear or joy. "Naruto, Sasuke, I'm so glad you're okay."
Naruto wanted to say something, but he couldn't get a word out. Kushina was hugging him so hard he could barely breathe.
On the other side of her hug was Sasuke. His face was bright red as Kushina held him close. He reached out like he wanted to push her away but couldn't bring himself to. So he just stood there awkwardly, hands up in the air, locked in her grip. M.I.
Naruto shot him a look that said, "You'll get used to it."
Next to them, Minato smiled awkwardly. "I want a hug too..."
"Forget it, Minato. No chance for you." Kurama chimed in with a laugh, mocking him.
Minato looked at Kurama, his face... confused.
Sakura stood nearby, full of envy. But she wasn't jealous of Naruto or Sasuke. She was jealous of Kushina.
Kushina must have noticed Sakura's envy, because her eyes lit up. Without a word, she reached out with her right hand and pulled the surprised Sakura into the hug.
Three faces full of shock.
Kushina looked so happy. "Ah!!! My own kids, Mikoto's kid and now a daughter too. My life is complete!"
Sakura's face turned bright red in an instant.
Aunt Kushina is way too enthusiastic!
Naruto let out a sigh and gave another "You'll get used to it" look.
"Tsk tsk tsk..." Kurama made a disgusted sound.
Hashirama and Madara exchanged a glance, then looked at Kurama. If they couldn't sense that familiar chakra, the two of them would have already gone for another round of "Kurama, you're too strong." No choice, Kurama looked scary right now.
Tobirama stood nearby with a frown. "Big brother, don't you think something's off here?"
Hashirama scratched the back of his head, looking weirded out. "I think it's really off."
"As expected from a pet. Its thinking is nothing like a human's." Madara took a deep breath. Kurama's look was a bit beyond what he expected.
It wasn't that he couldn't accept it. It just felt uncomfortable to look at.
Kurama didn't hear the three of them. Instead, he slowly walked over to Mito and nudged her with his elbow. "Mito, don't you think Hashirama and Madara look weird? You sure you don't want to say something?"
Mito didn't answer. She just looked at Kurama with a strange expression.
"What's with that look?" Kurama felt uneasy under her stare. "I'm telling you, you can't beat me now. Don't even think about sealing me again."
"I won't seal you." Mito turned her head, still with that odd look. "I just didn't expect you to turn into this."
At that, Kurama's eyes lit up. "What do you think? This face took me a long time to shape."
Mito didn't get what Kurama meant exactly, but she could guess. She looked closely at his face. After a while, she nodded meaningfully. "Looks good. Very similar."
"Hahaha! Right? Right, it looks good... Wait, similar to what?" Kurama laughed halfway, then stopped, looking confused at Mito.
Mito didn't reply. She just covered her mouth and chuckled softly.
Kurama tilted his head, full of confusion.
Nearby, the nine tailed beasts, including Kurama's other half, watched the now human-shaped Kurama with strange looks on their faces. They hadn't said a word since he came out. Their eyes stayed on the human Kurama for a long time, then they turned to yin Kurama.
Yin Kurama noticed the eight tailed beasts' looks and shook his head wildly at them. He was basically screaming with his face, "Don't blame the other half for this, don't pin it on me."
Gyuki looked at Kurama shaking his head like a rattle drum and spoke meaningfully. "I really didn't expect you to be this kind of guy, Kurama. Turning human and picking that face on purpose. You must really like her."
"You're full of crap!" Kurama's face turned red as he yelled.
Shukaku tsked and shook his head. "Tsk tsk tsk, eye-opening stuff, Kurama."
Shukaku's voice was already pretty shrill, and with those sharp words, it was a total knockout.
Kurama's face flushed even more. His chakra started to get messy.
He was thinking now whether to hit his other half with a Tailed Beast Bomb first, or go for Shukaku.
The Two-Tails cat let out a light laugh, her tail swaying gently. "I think Kurama looks pretty good like this."
"Please say: Yang Kurama, keep me away from that guy. Thanks." Yin Kurama said it all serious.
"Pfft—"
Chomei covered his mouth and looked innocently at yin Kurama. E
Yin Kurama clenched his fists tight.
Damn other half! I'm going to kill you!
Son Goku reached out and patted yin Kurama's shoulder. He didn't say anything, just held back a laugh and gave a thumbs up.
Yin Kurama: "..."
Kokuo and Saiken exchanged a look, then came to yin Kurama's sides, one on the left and one on the right.
Kokuo on the left: "You could choose not to merge with your other half. Live on as a new Kurama."
Saiken on the right: "Your other half has already reached Otsutsuki level anyway. He doesn't need your chakra or anything."
Yin Kurama looked at the two beasts, then rubbed his chin, deep in thought. "You know... that makes sense."
Isobu lay nearby and pointed at yang Kurama. "But only if he changes his name."
Yin Kurama's eyes lit up. He looked at Kokuo, Saiken, and Isobu with full gratitude. "You guys are my true brothers. Thanks!"
As long as I don't go back, and that guy changes his name, who would know he's the Nine Tails?
Kokuo, Saiken, and Isobu, you three are geniuses!
Just as yin Kurama was thinking that, a sad roar came from ahead. It sounded like a wife who lost her husband, crying under the Great Wall. The voice was sad and drawn out, like something from the ninth heaven... or the ghosts in the eighteenth level of hell!
"Baaah!!!"
"Kaguya! I'm going to kill you!"
