"It's unexpected that someone like you is listening to a rumor." Hazel sat down on a bench in the corridor. She texted Ranon that Rafael was here so he could come quickly.
Let Ranon deal with him because she was too lazy to respond to him.
"Not really. The rumor has been around since Mr. Leighton announced your engagement." Rafael sat down next to her. "I saw you visit Ms. Olivia. Do you know her?"
Hazel tried to keep it cool. "I think that's none of your business." She closed her eyes to indicate that she was done talking to him, but Rafael decided not to see the hint and kept talking.
"How do you know her? Are you two close?" Rafael waited for her answer patiently, and when Hazel opened her eyes, she found him grinning at her. "Do I annoy you?"
"I prefer a silent company." Hazel smiled.
"Oh, my bad." But Rafael didn't show his remorse. "Can I ask you one more question?"
"No."
He asked her anyway.
