"It's really scary to think about it carefully! You can't look at its face, once you do, you trigger its rage, and it will relentlessly pursue the viewer no matter the distance."
"I feel that Brit's analysis is pretty close to how it might work! It might be accurate!"
"It's so shocking! A monster that goes berserk just because someone looked at its face?"
"Damn! That concept is insane! The creators have an amazing imagination!"
In the dark menu area, Kiwo, Vale, and RT showed a surprised expression on their faces! They carefully thought about Brit's explanation, and the more they considered it, the more it seemed that Brit's speculation lined up. Even though they hadn't seen the file in-game, they accepted Brit's reasoning.
"My god... If this is true, then SCP-096 is terrifying! It..." Kiwo covered her mouth in horror that she couldn't hide!
Vale was equally shocked, "This monster... I don't even know what to say. It's insane!"
RT nodded rapidly, stunned by the realization.
Even Brit, who came to this conclusion, was shaken. He took a deep breath and thought carefully. Then said: "If my theory is right, then what happened earlier makes sense..."
They reviewed the incident carefully in-game. First, they explored the map and entered the area where SCP-096 was contained. Soon after, the area was sealed. They saw its back through a window, so no aggression was triggered. Then, an unlucky NPC soldier entered and accidentally saw its face, which triggered the hunt and eventual death of the soldier.
Brit entered the room afterward. At first, since he didn't see SCP-096's face, nothing happened. But when he saw the face, even briefly, that activated SCP-096's aggression. Then, everything escalated quickly, leading to his death and game over.
"The truth might be like this. Who would've guessed that just looking at its face causes all this?" Brit sighed deeply. Still, he admitted that it's not 100% confirmed in-game how the trigger works.
"Man, what a terrifying monster... This kind of behavior, this pursuit logic, could anyone but a horror writer come up with this?" Kiwo shook her head, overwhelmed.
The others nodded silently. They couldn't imagine designing something like this themselves.
There was a moment of silence, when Plumbella suddenly said: "Wait, I remember Brit didn't encounter the Many Winged Angel after coming back from the other dimension. Did SCP-096 eat it?"
Everyone paused.
"I don't think so," Brit said thoughtfully. "SCP-096 doesn't usually eat or interact with other SCPs in that way. It's more of a pure rage/pursuit type. If it had killed the Angel, there'd be some trace. Maybe the Many Winged Angel escaped. Creatures tend to avoid danger instinctively." Brit furrowed his brow.
He recalled that when he returned, neither SCP was in the hallway. Later, SCP-096 reappeared. As for what happened between the two, it's unclear whether the Many Winged Angel was defeated or simply fled.
"I think since SCP-096 came back, the Many Winged Angel probably lost or ran away," Kiwo said.
"Yeah, maybe they fought, the Angel fled, and 096 came back to continue its pursuit," RT guessed.
The others agreed, it made sense.
Vale said, "Let's not overthink it, just don't trigger any of the items again!"
Everyone nodded. As long as they avoid the SCPs, they should be safe.
But Brit then remembered something crucial: "Wait… I think SCP-096 might have tracking capabilities."
He looked uneasy.
"When I came back from the other dimension, it had already left. But not long after I returned, it showed up again, targeting me! How did it know where I was? How could it track me? Maybe, once its rage is triggered, it can always find you, no matter how far away you are."
When Brit said this, everyone was stunned. Just imagining that, a monster that goes berserk when someone sees its face, and can travel across dimensions? Horrifying!
And the viewers on the stream were equally shaken by Brit's theory. Countless people were terrified by the possibility!
"Man! If Brit's right, this is terrifying!"
"Bro! GPS?? That's wild!"
"Nightmare fuel!"
"I've decided, I'm never playing the game alone!"
"It's just too much! One look triggers rage, and it never stops chasing, AND it can track you across dimensions?! Nah, I'm out!"
"No wonder this game is so brutal..."
In-game, Brit and the others looked at each other in shock. A chill crept from their feet to the tops of their heads. No doubt about it, the attack mechanics and behavior of SCP-096 made them truly feel how strange and terrifying the Foundation could be.
