"Ah! Damn it! How did you get out?!" the man's voice was heard.

The group's faces were filled with surprise and uncertainty.

"What the heck is going on here?" Kiwo frowned tightly and asked; she was growing increasingly scared in her mind.

No matter who the voice belonged to, she felt that something bad might happen next — and that could be very frightening. But she couldn't guess what it was. In fact, Brit and RT both shared similar feelings. The two looked at each other, their faces filled with concern and seriousness.

"It can't be about the mechanical and electrical problems here," Brit said, his thoughts racing wildly.

The first thing the man in the room said was, "Damn! Something went wrong again." This line suggests that the man might be a maintenance worker for the facility or something similar. The phrase "something went wrong" probably refers to a malfunctioning machine or an electrical system issue. The reason why the metal door is blocked might be due to this problem.

"Everyone, calm down. Maybe... this man is a clue. The sentence he just said, 'how did you get out,' should refer to SCP-096, because the containment room for SCP-096 isn't in this place, and it doesn't look like a typical containment room," Brit thought for a moment, then added, "Let's first assess the situation..."

After speaking, he slowly stood up, preparing to lie on the window and observe. However, before Brit could stand up, the man's voice came again from the room: "No, no... not me... I don't want to die... no, no...."

The voice was filled with fear, even despair. After the man's voice faded, the group heard another burst of sobbing and crying from the room. This crying sounded like it was coming from another person or creature.

Brit's eyes widened in shock. Crying? Who was crying? If the man's voice wasn't the source, then the crying must belong to SCP-096. But SCPs are not supposed to cry. Why was it crying? Was the man responsible for causing it to cry? And why did that man's voice sound so frightened and horrified?

Countless questions swirled chaotically in the group's minds. While they pondered, the whimpering and crying grew louder, beginning to mix with vague voices, though no one could understand what was being said. Even if they could hear clearly, comprehension was unlikely.

The group looked at each other. Finally, Brit gritted his teeth and stood fully upright. He leaned on the window to look inside. RT and Kiwo couldn't hold back their curiosity and also stood up.

Together, they looked into the room and widened their eyes in shock. Inside, they saw a man—fully armed, likely a soldier. In front of him was a tall, thin creature, facing away from the window. Despite this, they could see that it was covering its face with both hands, crying in great pain.

"My God... it's SCP-096 crying... why is it crying?" Kiwo's eyes were filled with confusion, and her premonition of impending danger grew stronger.

It seemed that something terrible was about to happen. No matter how hard she thought, she couldn't understand what was going on. Moreover, they had no way to escape—if something terrible occurred, they could only endure from here.

Brit and RT also looked shocked and deeply fearful. Although SCP-096's cry sounded extremely sad, for some reason, they felt a disturbing, uncanny feeling deep in their hearts. Like Kiwo, they sensed that something unimaginable might happen next.

Meanwhile, viewers watching the stream saw what the group saw. Countless chat messages flooded in:

"My God! Why is it crying?!"

"Why is SCP-096 crying? Also, that soldier looks like he's about to pass out!"

"Wow, the crying gives me goosebumps!"

"Why do I feel that something big is about to happen? Oh my God, Brit, run!"

"They can't run away. I guess the player has to enter the room to resolve a certain problem!"

[ ===== ]

As discussions raged in the stream, the group paid little attention to it. Their focus was entirely on the scene inside the room. They saw the heavily armed soldier, clearly terrified, facing SCP-096, which was crying and whimpering. Due to the angle, the group could see his expression very clearly.

As time passed, SCP-096's crying grew more intense, eventually escalating into screams—painful, sorrowful screams.

"I don't want to die... Ahhh... I didn't mean it... I didn't mean it..." the soldier finally lost control, raising his gun and screaming.

Seeing this, the three outside the window grew even more confused and uneasy. Judging by the scene, the soldier hadn't done anything to SCP-096. Why was he so terrified and desperate? Could it be that SCP-096, in its crying state, was extremely dangerous?

This was the only plausible explanation. Perhaps SCP-096's crying signaled a significant threat—so large that avoiding it seemed impossible. Therefore, the soldier appeared so frightened.

But here's the problem: SCP-096 looks different from an ordinary person, but it's just crying now. What threat could crying pose? Could its cries be some kind of cognitohazard? As soon as humans hear its crying, might they suffer a tragedy? If that's the case, wouldn't the three of them also be at risk since they heard it?

This thought made them even more uneasy. The viewers in the stream also speculated about SCP-096's crying. Many expressed similar concerns: Why is this SCP so scary? Why is that soldier so terrified?

Soon, the viewers would understand why the soldier was so frightened.
