Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Kiana, Why Are You Still Here?

The summer dusk dyed the white curtains in hues of orange, and the room was silent—save for the soft sound of labored breathing.

Kiana stared blankly as Ye Feng pinned Jingliu down and kissed her without a care in the world. A pang of displeasure struck her.

This is my dorm!

And I'm right here!

She had originally wanted to share her joy with Ye Feng, but now, all she wanted was to punch him.

What a pervert!

Fuming, Kiana refused to leave. She stood rooted in place, glaring at Ye Feng as if her gaze alone could obliterate him.

Hmph!

Minutes passed, and the sight of Ye Feng and Jingliu locked in their kiss only fueled Kiana's irritation.

Still kissing?! STILL?!

Am I just air to you?!

This bastard definitely noticed me coming in! He's doing this on purpose!

In her fury, Kiana… remained furious.

I'm watching you~~~

She intensified her glare, her eyes burning with indignation.

It wasn't that she was mad at Ye Feng—no, she just couldn't stand the thought of such an ethereal beauty being defiled by this scoundrel.

Huh? Wait… Is this sister being forced?

Kiana couldn't quite tell. Jingliu's limp hands rested weakly on Ye Feng's shoulders, as if she had tried to push him away but lacked the strength.

To an outsider, it looked like the two were deeply in love.

Several more minutes passed. Kiana, still planted stubbornly in place, felt her body grow warm.

Her legs grew tired, so she crouched down, knees pressed tightly together, elbows propped on her thighs, her flushed cheeks cupped in her hands—yet her gaze never wavered.

If I look away, I lose.

She didn't even know what she was competing against, but losing was simply not an option.

Kiana's competitive spirit burned especially bright when it came to Ye Feng.

A big reason she had rushed over was to prove she could win their "100-times bet" from before!

But here this bastard was, kissing another woman.

The sun's already set, and they're STILL at it!

Strangely, Kiana seemed to forget that her first kiss with Ye Feng had lasted even longer—and far more intensely.

The sky darkened, and night began to envelop the room.

Outside, streetlights flickered on one by one.

Through the gaps between Ye Feng and Jingliu's entangled lips, Kiana could be seen pouting angrily, still squatting stubbornly by the door.

Finally, the two separated.

Jingliu was utterly spent, her body limp as if drained of all energy. Were it not for Ye Feng's support, she would have slid down the wall like a puddle of melted snow.

"Delicious."

Ye Feng licked his lips, watching the dazed, heat-flushed Jingliu with satisfaction.

The summer heat was stifling.

Beads of sweat trickled down Jingliu's flawless, jade-like arms, glistening under the dim evening light. Their fingers remained intertwined, strands of silver stretching between them.

"..."

The moon-pale swordswoman remained as composed as ever.

Her will was unshakable, her heart as firm as stone.

Not a trace of disturbance could be seen.

Ye Feng turned his head, finally noticing the furious Kiana glaring at him.

Finally! Kiana thought. If you apologize properly, maybe I'll forgive you.

But then, with an utterly innocent expression, Ye Feng asked:

"Kiana, why are you still here?"

"Huh?!"

The question left Kiana speechless.

"Why am I still here?!"

Screw you! Wasn't it YOU who begged me for that stupid bet?!

Back then, even when I said no, you dragged me to bed and had your way with me!

You absolute scoundrel!

Kiana's fists clenched, her lips twitching.

"Ah, the heat must be messing with your brain. Don't worry, Kiana. Take your time and explain."

"Tch."

Kiana sneered, then stepped forward—her left leg planted firmly, her right leg lifting high like a soccer player winding up for a powerful kick. Her raised right leg stretched nearly straight up, forming a near-perfect line with her standing left leg.

She was going to stomp Ye Feng into the ground to vent her fury.

Seeing her stance, Ye Feng couldn't help but grin.

Another split kick?

In a flash, he closed the distance, slipping into Kiana's open guard before pressing forward.

"Ngh—!"

Kiana's gathered strength instantly dissipated. Her body went limp, her right leg slumping over Ye Feng's shoulder.

"Leaving yourself wide open? Don't use this move again, Kiana."

"Get out!" Kiana huffed.

"Since you came to me so eagerly, how could I refuse?"

"Who's 'eager'?! Stop making things up— Mmph~!"

Losing her balance, Kiana leaned into Ye Feng's chest, her hands gripping his shoulders. As her hair swayed, her arms instinctively wrapped around his neck like clinging vines.

The entire motion was seamless.

"You're getting pretty good at this, Kiana."

"..."

Kiana bit her lip and looked away, refusing to acknowledge him.

This guy could twist black into white.

She was only here because of the bet!

Besides, even if she yelled "Let me go!", would Ye Feng actually listen?

Might as well save her breath.

Her gaze shifted to the weakened Jingliu beside them—first landing between her legs... Nothing there, huh?

Then, a horrifying realization struck her—

There's someone else here!

Sure, there had been times when Mei was present too, but Mei never knew about it!

"Relax, she doesn't know either."

Ye Feng carried Kiana over to Jingliu, their shifting shadows draping over the peerless swordswoman's exquisite features.

Jingliu, blindfolded, sat slumped against the wall, her head bowed.

Beads of sweat trickled down, occasionally dripping onto her outstretched thighs.

...

...

Not long after Kiana's arrival, Jingliu's consciousness finally "returned."

After a thorough exchange with Kiana, Ye Feng learned of the outside situation.

He could directly "play back" Kiana's memories.

The Chiyou had been completely subdued by the Scarlet Fox, now reduced to an island in the sea.

Though suspicions lingered around Yae Sakura and the Scarlet Fox, they had still successfully enrolled at St. Freya.

But the most interesting development was Ji Lin.

The way Ji Lin looked at Fu Hua—those tender, longing gazes, practically oozing affection—was far from platonic.

"There's definitely something going on there."

Ye Feng smirked, his expression turning downright mischievous.

All that talk about "marriage to avoid suitors"? Please. Ji Lin was clearly enjoying herself.

Now this was getting fun.

"Your smile is so creepy."

Kiana pressed her hands against Ye Feng's chest.

"Is it?"

"Mhm!"

"Well, more importantly—about our bet. Wasn't the condition 'whether the count breaks 100 within a week'? Why come find me? Wouldn't hiding for a week make it easier to win?"

"Hah?! I'd never cheat like that! The Kaslana way is to charge forward with honor!"

Kiana declared righteously, "I'll defeat you fair and square—just you wait!"
