"Here, take this."
Jiraiya pulled out something that looked like a book from inside his robe and handed it directly to Genya. His voice carried a trace of reluctance.
"This book... I wrote it myself. Might be a source of inspiration for you... cough, cough..."
As he spoke, he coughed lightly, almost like he was trying to cover something up, and looked off into the distance, avoiding eye contact.
Genya took the book and flipped through a few pages. The content—cough cough—was borderline indecent.
But honestly, Genya had seen far worse.
In his past life, he had watched actual adult films, so even though Jiraiya's art was impressive, it didn't have the same impact as video.
Besides, he was still just a kid.
Seeing Genya seriously flipping through the book, Jiraiya suddenly looked a little embarrassed and quickly added an explanation.
"Ahem... this is something I came up with on a whim recently. Only printed two or three copies so far. Consider yourself lucky, brat—you got your hands on Lord Jiraiya's very first edition!"
By the time he finished, his embarrassment had vanished. In fact, he looked downright proud of having created such a risqué manga.
Genya looked thoughtfully at the man before him—one of the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya.
Who would've thought someone of his stature would draw this kind of... adult material?
And even spy on women in the bathhouse?
Was this something he learned from that old geezer Hiruzen Sarutobi?
Or had he finally given up after failing to win Tsunade's heart?
Either way, it wasn't Genya's concern.
After skimming through the book, he closed it calmly.
"I'll accept the gift. Looking forward to our next meeting."
Genya's tone was gentle, but his gaze carried a quiet warning.
If he ever caught Jiraiya peeping at the women's bathhouse in Konoha... he wouldn't go easy on him.
The Uchiha Police Force didn't play around.
He'd personally make sure Jiraiya spent a few days behind bars.
As he muttered to himself, the space around him began to ripple.
And just like that, Genya's figure vanished into thin air.
Staring at the figure as it disappeared into the distance, Jiraiya's expression turned solemn.
"Atsukara... It seems I'll have to visit Mount Myōboku and speak to the Great Toad Sage again."
As he spoke those words, his tone grew heavier.
The sudden appearance of Atsukara had far exceeded his expectations—perhaps even the Great Toad Sage's prophecy hadn't accounted for them.
And that mention of someone from beyond this world... What did that mean?
He didn't fully understand, but he could sense that Genya's words had a deeper meaning—one he simply hadn't grasped yet.
Mount Myōboku... He had to go.
Inside the moving convoy ahead—
"You're back. Jiraiya didn't ask anything unusual, did he?" Shisui asked as soon as he saw Genya appear out of nowhere.
At the same time, a flicker of curiosity stirred in Shisui's eyes.
What had Jiraiya and Genya talked about?
After all, Jiraiya was one of the Legendary Sannin of Konoha. If he went out of his way to question Genya, then he must've already figured something out. That meant they had to stay alert.
If Jiraiya decided to inform the higher-ups in Konoha—or worse, Sarutobi Hiruzen—the Uchiha clan could be in real danger.
"He only asked about our connection to the Uchiha clan—why we're so close—and the purpose behind forming Atsukara," Genya replied honestly, not hiding anything.
"You told him we're part of the Uchiha clan?" Shisui's expression tightened immediately.
If that was the case… then Jiraiya might really report it to Sarutobi Hiruzen. And those two had a master-disciple bond.
"I only said we're cooperating with the Uchiha. As for why we formed Atsukara—simple: for the peace of the shinobi world."
Genya gave Shisui a look like he was staring at an idiot, then casually repeated the conversation he had with Jiraiya.
Shisui was still too naive, thinking Genya would just spill everything when questioned by Jiraiya.
He didn't stop to consider why someone like Genya, at such a young age, could even create an organization like Atsukara in the first place.
"What's that book in your hand?" Shisui suddenly noticed the book Genya was holding. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
When they left, Genya didn't seem to be carrying any kind of book. But now, he had one in his hand.
"Oh, this? Jiraiya gave it to me," Genya said, glancing down at the little book. "He said it's the fruit of his hard work over the years. Want to read it?"
He casually tossed the book to Shisui.
"This one's for you. You should study it seriously. Maybe you'll learn something."
His tone was surprisingly sincere, as if he were passing down some kind of precious legacy.
"Jiraiya's hard work over the years?" Shisui narrowed his eyes, visibly intrigued. He even tightened his grip on the book.
This could be the training experience of one of the Legendary Sannin. If that was the case, it was an invaluable gift.
Even if he had already reached a level of strength comparable to Jiraiya, the experience and insights of a ninja like him were priceless.
Once he finished reading, he could even donate it to the Uchiha Academy.
The younger Uchiha there would definitely benefit from it—especially if it contained training guidance. It could save many of them from taking unnecessary detours.
With that thought in mind, he cautiously opened the book.
What greeted him was a scene that made his blood pressure spike and his face flush red.
"…What?"
"Genya… this is really Jiraiya's hard work over the years?"
Shisui snapped the book shut at once, his eyes locking onto Genya's, filled with suspicion and disbelief.
Could this really be true?
In Shisui's mind, someone like Jiraiya—one of the Legendary Sannin—would never write that kind of book. This had to be a trick. Genya must be using Jiraiya's name to pull one over on him.
After all, Genya had once taken him to that infamous red-light district—no, the Uchiha district, he corrected himself—and even encouraged him to "go find a girl."
That kind of thing? Very much something Genya would do.
"Of course it's real," Genya said seriously. "When he gave it to me, he looked like he couldn't bear to part with it."
He gazed up at the sky with a heavy, almost nostalgic expression.
…Had he really misjudged Genya?
Shisui frowned. After a moment's hesitation, he slowly opened the book again.
Perhaps…
It only felt this strange when reading it aloud. Maybe Jiraiya really had recorded that kind of thing in this painting after all.
They always said Jiraiya was one of a kind, and even his way of documenting things was bizarre. Still, Shisui took it seriously and kept reading.
But…
The more he read, the redder his cheeks became. Eventually, his whole head felt like it was overheating. In the dead of winter, steam was literally rising from the top of his head.
After a long while,
He had only made it through a tenth of the book, and something definitely felt off the more he read. In the end… he started flipping pages faster and faster.
But because he was trying to find the important information Jiraiya left behind, he couldn't afford to miss anything!
Still…
By the time he got to the end, Shisui felt a strange emptiness in his heart. It was like he hadn't actually learned anything… and yet, somehow, his mind had been filled with something new.
On the final page, there was even Jiraiya's personal signature.
Written by the Gallant Pervy Sage ~ Make-Out Paradise, Jiraiya.
Uhh...
Looking at that page, Shisui's flushed face turned completely dark.
