"Are you leaving?"
Uchiha Furin looked at Genya with questioning eyes. He even wanted to ask what he would need to do next.
Also,
When exactly would he leave this place.
"You'll probably need to stay in Yugakure for a while," Genya said seriously, his tone very grave. "Although the Jashin Cult has been destroyed, there are still remnants out there. I need you to ensure the safety of Yugakure!"
The few remaining cult members in red robes might seek revenge on the village or attack the Uchiha Merchant Association.
However, with Uchiha Furin and the newly risen genius of the Uchiha nearby, their strength was already close to the captains at the Uchiha headquarters.
With him stationed in Yugakure, Genya felt at ease.
"Yeah, I understand!" Furin nodded seriously, his tone sincere. Then he continued, "But many of the parents of those children you asked me to find have already disappeared. Maybe—"
He didn't finish the sentence, but from his somber expression, it was clear those parents were likely gone.
"If they really can't find their parents, then just keep the children here," Genya thought carefully. "Raise them as our Uchiha Merchant Association's core ninjas. They can help guard Yugakure!"
"I've observed them. They've been through a baptism of sorts; their bodies have changed to some degree. If we train them together, they could become a great asset in the future!"
"Yes!" Uchiha Furin nodded firmly, his eyes serious.
"But…" Genya looked into his eyes before continuing, "When bringing them into our ranks, make sure to ask the children's opinions first. If they don't agree, don't force them!"
"I understand!"
"."
After that, Genya explained a few more things to Uchiha Furin. Then, he led the red-clad cult members and the experiment personnel to start their journey back to Konoha.
The convoy was quite a large group.
But as Genya's team passed through Yugakure, Jiraiya, with his white hair, was already waiting ahead.
It seemed like he was waiting for them.
"Sun Wukong..." Just as Genya was about to greet him, Jiraiya spoke first.
"Jiraiya, did you want to see me for something?" Genya asked curiously. He didn't know why Jiraiya wanted to meet him.
Maybe Jiraiya saw his talent and wanted to take him as a student?
Or maybe he thought Genya was someone who could change the world?
"Let's have a talk!" Jiraiya looked at Genya. Even now, he still couldn't figure out this Sun Wukong who wore a monkey mask. Even his eyes were covered by a faint black flame.
It felt like he was deliberately hiding them. It was simple—unless someone else could recognize him at a glance, that was why he purposely concealed his eyes.
But Jiraiya couldn't imagine anyone with such special eyes could be so powerful.
His own student, Nagato? Those distinctive Rinnegan eyes stood out. Or maybe the Hyuga clan's Byakugan?
Right now, these were the only two kinds of special eyes he could think of.
After all, he could tell a person's allegiance by their eyes alone.
As for the Uchiha clan, without using their abilities, their eyes looked like normal people's. Jiraiya suspected that Phantom Tiger, who was beside Sun Wukong, might be a member of the Uchiha clan. But he still couldn't guess which Uchiha he was.
"Want to talk to me?" Genya murmured. It seemed Jiraiya wanted to probe into his background through conversation.
Shisui tried to refuse, but Genya stopped him. He stepped forward a few steps and said, "Alright, I'll talk with you."
Genya signaled Shisui to keep moving ahead while he followed Jiraiya to a quiet corner.
"Atsukara·Sun Wukong?" Jiraiya looked at Genya and cautiously asked again, "Can I call you by that name?"
"Of course, that's the name I go by in the ninja world!" Genya nodded, but he spoke somewhat casually. "But you didn't come just to ask me that, right? If that's all, then I'm leaving!"
"Wait," Jiraiya quickly said, trying to stop him. He was afraid Genya might leave immediately using Flying Thunder God Technique. He hurriedly continued, "You're probably still young, maybe even just a teenager. Can you remove that black flame covering your eyes?"
"No," Genya shook his head firmly.
Ridiculous.
If his Dual Pupils were revealed, anyone could easily recognize who he was.
Jiraiya's hope was too optimistic. Or maybe… he knew this was how Genya hid his identity!
"If you're just going to ask these boring questions, then goodbye!" Genya looked at Jiraiya's disappointed face and slowly said, "We have nothing to talk about!"
"Don't go!" Jiraiya hurried forward to block him, his tone urgent. "Are you the black-clad assassin who attacked the Sarutobi clan a few days ago? What does the Atsukara organization want, and why do they have ties with the Uchiha clan?"
Finally,
Seeing Genya really about to leave, Jiraiya couldn't hold back his curiosity and blurted out everything.
This was the most confusing part in his mind!
From how Genya and Shisui hated evil, and from their actions against the Jashin Cult, Jiraiya was sure Atsukara was a good organization.
But then he remembered—years ago, there was that big uproar about the Konoha assassinations.
It seemed like the Atsukara organization was behind it, with Sun Wukong, this black-robed short man standing before him.
They specifically targeted the Sarutobi clan. Back then, his teacher even sent him a message to come back to help, but unfortunately, he had no time and didn't return.
"Do you want to hear the truth? Or a lie?" Genya looked seriously at Jiraiya and slowly spoke.
"The truth!" Jiraiya's usual lazy expression was gone, replaced by a serious look.
He wanted to know the purpose of this sudden, explosive organization. Could it really be about punishing evil and promoting justice? But then, why would they harm the Sarutobi clan?
"Then I'll start from the beginning," Genya said calmly, leaning back against a rock and stretching comfortably. "First, why I got close to the Uchiha clan."
It seemed—
Genya fell into thought. Jiraiya's breathing slowed. After a few moments, Genya finally said, "Because the current Uchiha leader and I have a deep connection. You could say we get along well. I just find them more agreeable."
Thud—
Jiraiya staggered at these words.
He was full of disbelief. He had been ready to hear some shocking secret, but instead, Genya said he simply "found them agreeable"?
Jiraiya even began to wonder if the person in front of him, Sun Wukong, was just playing a joke.
