Chapter 253 - Chapter 252 : Genya vs Deidara!!

"Brother Deidara, long time no see!"

Genya's eyes were fixed on Deidara, his gaze always carrying a smile.

Deidara was truly a bit naively stubborn. There were things he held onto firmly, yet sometimes he came off as incredibly innocent.

Overall, Genya thought Deidara was a good person with a pleasant personality.

"Genya... are you here to fulfill our agreement?" After exchanging greetings, Deidara's expression became serious and eager. He had been itching to teach this kid a lesson for a while now.

"I'm here to keep my promise, and I've prepared myself to take you with me!" Genya's eyes were locked onto Deidara, a smile tugging at his lips. "Time to leave!"

Take him away?

The corner of Deidara's eye twitched. He hadn't expected this kid to want to fight him. Could this kid really have the ability to easily defeat him?

Looking at Genya's confident expression, he continued, "Genya... you don't really think you can defeat me, do you?"

"How would I know if I don't try?" Genya responded with a calm smile, but his words were serious.

"You really want to fight me?" Deidara's expression became even more serious, his gaze growing heavy. "If we fight, you could get hurt!"

At first, he thought Genya was just joking, but now it seemed like he was actually serious.

"Let me get hurt? Well, that depends on your strength, Brother Deidara!" Genya shrugged, his tone indifferent as he looked at Deidara with a calm expression.

"Shall we begin now? Your house is already destroyed, so after the fight, you can leave with me!"

Genya looked up at the sky. It had been a while since he left Konoha, and it was time to return.

This was the perfect opportunity to end things quickly.

"Alright, Genya, even though you're my brother, for the sake of art, I have no choice but to show you what I can do!"

Deidara's eyes flashed with determination as he glanced at Uchiha Shin and Hikari, reminding them gently, "You all should step back a bit. If things get heated, you might get hurt!"

Although he could control the power of the explosions, accidents could still happen.

After all, these two were Genya's subordinates, and he didn't want to involve them in any way.

"Step back. I'm about to have an intimate conversation with my dear brother, Deidara!" Genya nodded, signaling everyone to move back.

His expression remained calm.

The two faced each other.

"Well then, let's fight!" Deidara formed a hand seal. "Explosion Spider!"

With that, he watched his clay spider rapidly crawl toward Genya.

However, Genya made no attempt to dodge. He stood still, and in the blink of an eye, the spider climbed up his body.

Seeing Genya remain unmoving, Deidara thought Genya was conceding. Excited, he said, "This is my masterpiece—a fusion of the two-dimensional style into an explosive spider. It's mobile, and the moment my will activates, it will explode!"

"This is art!"

"Give up, Genya!"

"This is just the smallest explosion I have, the spider. Even so, you can't handle it. I suggest you give up. We're brothers, I don't want to hurt you!"

Deidara thought he had already won, his eyes filled with determination.

He won.

"Are you sure you've won?" Genya, however, didn't move. He calmly spoke, "Look at yourself again, see what's on you!"

Huh?

On me?

Deidara was puzzled. It was only then that he noticed the five spinning shapes in Genya's eyes.

Looking at Genya, the spider had already disappeared!

Then, following Genya's words, he looked at himself. Several explosive spiders had climbed onto his body, each one positioned at his most vulnerable spots.

If they exploded, he wouldn't die, but he'd get hurt. Given his knowledge of his own clay bombs, there was a high chance he'd end up severely injured.

After all, the clay bombs were attached to vital points, including… his groin.

"How... how is this possible?" Deidara quickly retracted the clay spiders, looking at Genya with shock. What just happened? He almost detonated the spiders on himself!

"Brother Deidara, it looks like you lost this time!" Genya looked at Deidara, speaking slowly.

"Genya, how did you do that?" Deidara asked, stepping forward, curiosity in his eyes.

Genya watched Deidara approach, then reminded him again, "Before coming any closer, retract your explosive spiders!"

"Huh? I already retracted them!" Deidara responded, confused.

Genya, however, looked at him and said, "Look again!"

What's going on?

Deidara was stunned, but he followed Genya's direction and looked again. To his surprise, the clay spiders on his body had wrapped around his neck, connecting with each other. If they exploded, his head would likely be blown off.

"How is this? I thought I had already retracted the clay spiders. Why are they still on my neck?" Deidara quickly tried to retract them again.

But when he regained his focus, the clay spiders were still on his neck.

Is this an illusion?

Suddenly, Deidara looked at Genya. "Genya, did I fall for your genjutsu?"

He realized now—it was a genjutsu.

He was caught in Genya's genjutsu, and that was why he was seeing the clay spiders. "When did this happen? I don't remember sensing that I was trapped in an illusion!"

He said this, then quickly tried to walk toward Genya to confirm his thoughts.

He had been careless. Why had he been so careless when he knew the Uchiha clan was famous for their genjutsu expertise?

"From the moment you attacked me, you were already caught in my genjutsu," Genya said, looking at Deidara as he walked forward. He raised his hand and pointed at him again. "Freeze!"

In an instant, Deidara saw countless clay spiders emerge from the ground beneath him, spinning webs that bound him, making it impossible for him to move!

"You," Deidara knew that he was trapped in an illusion, but he still couldn't break free. "Genya... let me go, let me go!"

"Brother Deidara, I told you, I can easily subdue you!" Genya said, looking into Deidara's eyes.

"Your art is beautiful, but your mental strength is weak. If you encounter a ninja who's skilled in illusions, you'll most likely fall under their control... and even be taken out in an instant."

Genya said each word clearly, almost as if seeking Deidara's acknowledgment.

"Uh, weak mental strength? I admit, I'm no match for you when it comes to illusions!" Deidara thought for a moment and agreed with that point. He then looked at Genya. "So, can you let me go now?"

"Sure!"

Genya nodded, and the five spinning tomoe in his eyes rotated. Deidara watched as the clay spider vanished, and he could move again.

At that moment, he gazed at Genya's Dual Pupils, the spinning five tomoe, and whispered, "Art..."
