"Open the cell", Ali heard the feminine voice inside his mind; it was not spoken.
"Join me"
"Come closer"
Ali held the iron bar and tightened his hand to bend the metal into the shape of his fist; ridiculous strength was on display.
"Do not speak into my mind. This is your last warning; one more time and I will have the whole city come to pay you a visit.", Ali said, shocking the demon who didn't say another word in Ali's mind.
"You resist me", this time the demon spoke but still hid under the rags; she sounded surprised.
"Your magic is weak; I can see the demonic energy circling me before I hear you. Too obvious and slow.", Ali said.
"Why is a human talking to a demon out of their own will then, why not run to the church?", she asked.
"Why are you hiding in this cell when you're strong enough to get out whenever you want? Are you working with the priest?", Ali asked his own questions.
"Working with him?? He's the reason I'm stuck down here…", she blurted that out, losing her control; Ali could sense the hate in her words.
He then activated his Bahamut eyes and was surprised to see the whole cell, including the bars and the rag she was hiding under, covered in a massive purple magic spell. A magic spell that was constantly rotating around the cell.
"Listen, human, if you're willing to talk then you want something from me. We can come to a deal.", she said to Ali who stood there.
"Listening", Ali responded.
"Take care of the priest, and afterwards free me from here. If you do so, I will grant you one wish as long as I am capable of it.", she offered Ali a very ambitious deal; 'She thinks all humans are that stupid, yeah, let me go out there and get rid of the demon in her way so she could hoard all the demonic energy to herself and get stronger, then I'm supposed to believe she will honour the deal?', Ali thought.
"Cute", Ali said.
"What?", she didn't understand.
"Your deal, it sounds like something a demon who had never stepped foot in the human world before would say.", Ali hit the nail on the head.
"Now here's a real deal. You will stay in this cell until I decide for you to leave. If you leave, I will expose you. This auction will now be handed over to the paladin and her clergy, who will investigate it for demonic activity. I will stop them from descending down here. If you stop out of this cell, then the doors to this place will open wide for a demon-hungry paladin." Ali said as he looked down at the rags with black eyes.
"Wait—", she tried to say something, but he continued.
"And when I come back to take you out, you will be my servant. Yeah…A fancy word for slave, basically." Ali said, turning around.
"Who do you think—-", her angered voice echoed in the dungeon as Ali walked down the corridor.
"I really hope you test me. Killing a demon would gain me favour with the church", Ali said.
"FUCK", the demon shouted but never once took off the rags. They were the only way she hid herself from the priest, who would lose his mind and allow his demonic instincts to take over so he could kill her and eat her corpse afterwards.
'This is not how I expected this would go…How could I find myself in a slaver's cell, and then an apostle of gluttony is living directly above me… Mother, what should I do…', she thought.
Ali reached the large group of former slaves and servants of the Slave Master. They all quieted down seeing him. Bona's attitude towards him was enough to signify his rank among them.
Ali waved his hand, and a black portal opened up at the end of the corridor. Then he waved his hand again, and without warning, he pushed them all through the portal using his Force. 'It can actually move large groups now…', Ali thought of the improvements on his teleport after Shadow's evolution.
The dozens of freed people fell out the portal onto the ground floor of the brothel two hundred metres away, where Rook was waiting for them with his men ready to smuggle them to the slums. And there they would split them into those who would leave the city and those who stay and prepare to fight.
Meanwhile, Ali was still in the auction that was now empty of humans, but not for long, as platoons of knights stood outside the entrance of the tent, treating the nobles with the help of the paladin's clergy, the same paladin who was in full armour and readying with the City's knights and her own to charge down the auction.
HAH HAH
The beautiful elf breathed heavily as she hacked at the chain binding her with the fallen sword from the dead knight hanging on her side, but she was barely strong enough to hold the sword; she had no chance of cutting a chain strong enough to hold Beast Kings, that's the level the Slave Master went to just to ensure her imprisonment.
"You need a hand?", she froze when she heard a deep voice from behind the curtains; she looked up to see the heavy, bloodied curtains open up on their own to reveal a tall, muscular man with a gold mask standing there looking back at her.
She stepped back and held the sword at the stranger, her hands shaking from the strain on her wrists.
Ali casually walked up to her; he was now only two metres away and had his right hand on the large white fang from which a knight was hanging dead.
"A million gold coins, they were willing to pay that for you…", Ali walked around her slowly, his black eyes travelling over her body with no shame; the elf couldn't do anything but struggle to hold the heavy sword and point it at him.
"But they're all gone now, and it's only me left. So the million gold coins bid is invalid… My turn to bid", Ali spoke slowly, his eyes matching hers, but she had to look away as his gaze was too much for her, his black eyes too overbearing.
"How about one gold coin, yes, I bid one coin", Ali opened his palm, and a gold coin with a dragon head on it appeared on his gloved palm.
"I will bite my tongue off before I ever let you touch me, human", she finally spoke, and her sharp Elven tongue was on full display.
"Is that so?", Ali said and stepped back. He flipped the coin between his fingers with an impressive sleight of hand as he pointed to his ear with his other hand.
"You hear that?", Ali said, and the sound of sword strikes and heavy boots smashing through solid walls could be heard from above.
"Those are human knights led by a paladin of the True Flame", Ali said, and the elf's hazel eyes widened hearing that. She knew what that meant for her.
"I heard she is one fanatic paladin and true to the old traditions of the True Flame. I heard she once impaled an elf on an iron spear and made sure to miss any vital points just so she could burn the elf with the white flames of the True Flame. Now that's slow and painful death.", Ali said, and the crashing sounds from above only added to the threat in his words.
The elf didn't say anything, but her heart was beating very fast, and Ali's sharp ears could hear every beat. It was too easy for him to play with her.
He then flicked the coin onto the floor of the auction stage where the blood of the knights pooled, the dragon side of the coin upwards as the elf looked down at it.
"Pick it up or stay here", Ali said coldly.
The elf heard the knights getting closer as they hacked through the massive fangs standing in their way.
She looked up into Ali's cold eyes and made her decision. She kneeled still holding the sword and out of nowhere turned the edge of the blade to her neck. With determination, she pushed the sword up at her neck, attempting to cut her own neck and kill herself.
CUT
DRIP DRIP
Droplets of blood hit the pool of blood below. The elf opened her eyes slowly. She didn't feel any pain and was still kneeling. Then she looked towards the sword where she saw a large hand blocking the edge of the sword.
A very shallow cut from the sword caused droplets of blood to hit the ground.
She looked up to see Ali staring down at her. He was now crushing her before her, his black eyes opposite her hazel ones.
"You got heart, kid", Ali said, impressed with her courage; she didn't falter once in making that choice.
"I will not be your slave", she said.
"I know, I know, I was just messing with you anyway." Ali shrugged his shoulders and gloved the same hand that now didn't have a cut on it anymore.
"What do you mean—EEEEK LET ME DOWN", she shouted as Ali picked her up in a princess carry, and then she opened her eyes wide as she felt the chains drop to the ground; the lock had magically opened.
"Hold tight", Ali said as he lowered a little, then jumped up, leaving behind a crater on the stage.
The elf instinctively hugged Ali's neck as he flew up at the ceiling where a black portal awaited them; he flashed through it as Katarin smashed through the last white fang in her way and found the auction empty.
Ali, holding the elf, exited up in the dark night; the elf's white gown made them easy to spot, but he didn't wait for that to happen as he flew through the night sky at high speed.
"Hey, let me down!!", she shouted, but this time her eyes started to glow a bright green, and her lush golden hair floated up.
"You try anything, and I will kill you", Ali said, shutting down any of her plans as his killing intent crushed any intent to fight back.
'Why are we flying there?', she thought to herself as she saw the magic tower of the city get larger and larger.
Ali wasn't the fastest man in the city at the moment as the viscount jumped through the city at speeds that nearly broke the sound barrier; he was a human cannon and didn't hesitate to use his level five aura to cross the distance.
He broke the necklace around his neck, and it glowed the closer he was to the matching necklace, so now he was rushing like a madman through the city following the signal of the necklace until he reached the walls of the city where he found the mess left behind by Keith.
He found the matching necklace on the unconscious guard; next to the guard was a folded paper which he picked up with his furious hands.
"Your heir is in my hands now, Viscount. If you want to save him, then march tomorrow with your army to Eagle's Valley. He will be well taken care of until then. Don't show up, and his body will be cut to pieces, left in random locations in my future city", the Viscount read the letter that was more beckoning of a barbarian than a noble.
It was written by Rook, after all.
"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK I WILL KILL YOUUUUUUUUU", the Viscount shouted as he opened his palm, which had a gold ring on his middle finger.
A gold spear appeared out of nowhere in his open palm; it was taller than him and had green engravings of lightweight and speed on it.
He tightly held the spear before arching back and throwing the spear at a small group of trees in the distance. The spear broke the sound barrier with a clear tear in the air the moment it left his hand. The spear whistled through the air before smashing into the trees and creating a deep trench that dug down four metres and was more than ten metres wide.
All of that without using his Aura armour. Did Ali make a mistake by angering such a monster?
Meanwhile, far away down south on the cliff that overlooked Fort Stork, sixty elves stood in formation with a tall elf wearing heavy armour and twin curved swords on his back, adorned with green cores, making it clear he led this platoon.
He was an initial level five Aura knight himself and was tasked by an elder, a grandmaster of Spirit and an influential voice in the Sacred Oak council, to rescue his daughter and Queen candidate. If he failed this, then dying as punishment would be considered mercy for him. An elder who'd lived for centuries was capable of things one could only imagine.
