Gameta's eyes were bloodshot with rage. His carefully cultivated creature had been destroyed like that; it was like a slap to his face.
He bit his finger and slammed his hand onto the ground. Black, squiggly characters spread like a spiderweb. With a bang, a giant summoning beast was brought forth.
It was a four-legged creature, dozens of meters tall, with reddish skin and a head somewhat resembling a bull. Its gaping maw was filled with sharp teeth.
Its spine was highly humped like a camel's, and its hands resembled pincers. At a glance, it looked like a messy amalgamation of various creatures.
"Go, Strong Bo King! Kill that Leaf ninja and avenge my Baltan Newbie!"
Hearing its master's command, the summoning beast named Strong Bo King roared and charged toward Tōshirō.
As Strong Bo King galloped, the very ground seemed to tremble, and pebbles on the roadside bounced, indicating its immense weight, heavy as a thousand pounds.
No sooner said than done, a figure no smaller than Strong Bo King descended from the sky, holding a short sword and plunging it downwards. With the force of inertia, this attack's momentum was extraordinary, directly plunging deep into Strong Bo King's head. It then casually sat its rear on Strong Bo King's massive hump.
It was Jiraiya's strongest summoning beast, Gamabunta.
With such an attack, an ordinary summoning beast would at least be severely injured, if not dead, triggering its summoning jutsu's protection mechanism and disappearing in a puff of white smoke.
However, this obvious truth seemed to have no effect on the creature before them.
"It's no use! My Strong Bo King feels no pain and fears nothing!"
Gameta's gaze at Tōshirō's face was fierce and sinister, a cruel grin spreading across his lips. "Don't get carried away, boy, just because you defeated one of my summoning beasts."
Tōshirō merely curled his lip, not taking it seriously.
"Tōshirō, leave this to me!" Jiraiya, standing atop Gamabunta, shouted loudly.
Tōshirō had the same intention. With a flicker of his body, he charged toward the enemy.
They had already gathered information on Gameta: he excelled at summoning beasts, but his taijutsu was relatively weak.
Tōshirō and the others would target this weakness. Gameta, being the subject, naturally knew better than anyone how to avoid his weak points.
"Too naive..." Gameta quickly performed hand seals, using the same method to summon a bird with black feathers by slamming his hand onto the ground, dispelling the white smoke.
Summoning Jutsu.
If his taijutsu was weak, then he just needed to avoid direct confrontation.
This was Gameta's strategy.
By using this super beast, Black Pigeon, he could fly into the sky and watch the tigers fight from afar.
Black Pigeon flapped its wings, stirring up a violent wind pressure that cleared the dust. Even Tōshirō, who was swiftly charging forward, was affected and momentarily slowed down.
Seizing this momentary pause, the super beast Black Pigeon lifted its legs from the ground and ascended.
Tōshirō raised his arm to block his vision, a grave look in his eyes. If this Black Pigeon managed to fly up, it would undoubtedly become very troublesome.
Gameta, standing on Black Pigeon's head, looked down triumphantly. He was eager to see the desperation on their faces when Black Pigeon flew up, knowing they couldn't get to him.
"Boom."
A sudden sound erupted from below. Gameta's eyes reflected a gigantic brown snake suddenly bursting from the ground. Its thick body coiled around Black Pigeon with lightning speed, simultaneously opening its jaw to bite down on Black Pigeon's lower jaw, preventing it from moving.
This was Orochimaru's summoning beast.
"Damn it!"
Gameta was furious and exasperated. He had been careless and caught off guard.
Tōshirō saw an opening. He made a snap decision, brought his palms together vertically, then raised them over his head, completing a simple hand seal. In the center of his palm, ice-style chakra condensed into a crescent-shaped shuriken, hovering above Tōshirō's head like a halo.
Tōshirō wasn't posing for coolness; this was to charge up for the subsequent swing.
Bringing his palms together and facing forward, he swung forcefully, throwing the ice axe. It spun once, then split into several afterimages in mid-air, fanning out and rushing forward.
Ice Style: Ice Axe.
Its difficulty was around A-rank. This technique was inspired by Orochimaru's Shadow Shuriken technique. By throwing an ice axe forward, the ice axe would then create tens of thousands of shuriken shadow clones for continuous attack. Among these, some ice axes were real, and some were fake, making them difficult to distinguish.
The ice axes were numerous and incredibly fast, making them very difficult to dodge.
Gameta quickly performed hand seals, slammed one hand down, and used the Summoning Jutsu again in the same manner.
With a bang, white mist erupted from the ground, and a tall panda appeared before him, using its plump body to block all the ice axes.
Cold sweat beaded on Gameta's forehead. The previous Ice Style ninjutsu attack was both fast and wide-ranging; it would have been extremely difficult for him to dodge with his taijutsu.
Fortunately, he could summon summoning beasts at any time for defense.
Summoning and maintaining so many summoning beasts at once was, honestly, incredibly taxing even for him.
Coupled with the incorrect intelligence and the enemy's immense strength, Gameta was already contemplating retreat and devising a long-term plan.
While Gameta's attention was fully on Tōshirō's last move, Tsunade silently circled behind him, wound up her arm, and with a tricky angle, delivered a punch to his kidney.
Gameta reacted, but it was too late to dodge. He could only hastily cross his arms to block.
Tsunade's lips curved upwards.
Did he really think her punch would be that easy to block?
Tsunade, combining her Super Strength with Earth Style: Earth Spear, mercilessly slammed her fist into the enemy's elbow. In an instant, accompanied by a scream, Gameta was sent flying backward like a cut string kite.
With a "boom," he slammed into the rock wall, creating a deep crater.
Tōshirō pressed his advantage, dashing in the direction Gameta had flown. He gathered cold chakra in his palm, plunged into the rising smoke, and used the concealment to instantly activate his Sharingan, pinpointing the figure and striking with a palm.
After that, the smoke slowly dissipated, and two figures gradually emerged from the mist.
Gameta's bulging eyes reflected a pair of scarlet pupils, like drops of blood.
Suddenly, those scarlet eyes seemed to be infiltrated by the darkness, turning into jet-black pupils that melted into the gloom.
The extreme cold energy rapidly spread throughout his body from the point of the palm strike. Gameta's teeth chattered uncontrollably, a chill that "froze" his heart and lungs, causing his entire body to tremble violently, so much so that he couldn't even finish saying the words "Uchiha."
Crackling... crackle, crackle, crackle...!
With these rhythmic sounds, Gameta's body began to freeze, starting from his abdomen.
Gameta shrieked hysterically, making a final struggle, but only managed to shake off a few ice fragments.
Tōshirō's gaze was fixed, his dark eyes cold and profound. "To be defeated by the combined might of us four, you can be proud enough. Rest in peace..."
Tōshirō increased the flow of cold energy, completely freezing the man before him into an ice sculpture. Then, as if disdainfully, he turned away with an arrogant air, not looking back.
With Tōshirō's victory, the battle saw a breakthrough. The scales of victory immediately tipped toward the Leaf ninjas. The Amegakure ninjas lost their will to fight and began to retreat.
The Leaf ninjas, who had suffered greatly before the battle began, were seething with anger. Now that they had the chance, they naturally wouldn't let them off easily and began to pursue.
Tōshirō also joined the chase. It wasn't that he coveted the meager glory; rather, by letting fewer enemies escape, the Leaf Village could potentially reduce future casualties.
The Amegakure ninjas, leaderless, were surprisingly easy to deal with. Apart from a few who slipped through the net, they were mostly annihilated.
Having won the battle, the Leaf side was enveloped in joy.
Jiraiya walked over to Tōshirō, a pleased expression on his face. "Tōshirō, we've achieved great merit this time!"
Tōshirō offered a symbolic smile.
He wasn't interested in becoming Hokage now, and merit meant little to him.
As for exchanging merit for ninjutsu, Tōshirō generally looked down on most ninjutsu.
Among the known ninjutsu in the village, the only one he was truly interested in was the Flying Thunder God Technique.
