"The Excelia I obtained is more than I expected." Charlie couldn't help but smile. "Previously, after I reached Level 6, all my parameter attributes were at rank F. But now, with just one brief crusade against Antares, those numbers have skyrocketed drastically."
"Endurance and Agility rose to rank S, Dexterity to rank A, and Strength rose to rank B. In total, 3,555 Excelia!"
Doing a quick calculation, Charlie took a deep breath.
Those numbers were clearly printed on the parchment. 3,555 Excelia for a Level 6 was a fantastic amount, almost impossible to obtain from ordinary battles in the Dungeon.
It should be remembered that the higher an adventurer's level, the more difficult it is to obtain Excelia. Fighting weaker opponents yields almost nothing.
The challenge must be equal to or exceed one's abilities to provide meaningful Excelia.
The clearest example was Ais when she was still Level 5. No matter how many monsters on the Middle Floors of the Dungeon she slaughtered, her Excelia didn't increase by a single point. This was also experienced by all High-Class Adventurers.
"Finishing off Antares couldn't possibly give this much Excelia. Besides, that monster was weak. The most likely possibility is my suicidal act of withstanding Artemis's Divine Arrow."
Although Antares was terrifying to most people, to Charlie it was indeed "weak" in a relative sense. This much Excelia value must have come from another crucial moment.
"The most likely possibility is the 'suicidal' act when withstanding the Divine Arrow of Artemis in outer space."
Only that speculation made the most sense. Directly facing the true power of a god capable of destroying the planet's surface and even tasting death was the most extreme form of "experience."
"The other factor is undoubtedly The Chosen Savior, which has the effect of rapidly increasing growth speed. This is very similar to the protagonist Bell Cranel's Liaris Freese skill. Using a game metaphor, both are EXP buff-type skills."
Charlie understood well that his The Chosen Savior skill was the main foundation for why his leveling speed was so logic-defying. Without it, the Excelia gained might not have been this much.
This was what enabled him, a "beginner" who started late, to catch up and even potentially surpass veterans who had been struggling for years.
"At this point, I've already fulfilled both requirements to level up to Level 7."
A great achievement recognized by the gods?
Stopping the destruction of civilization and withstanding Artemis's Divine Arrow was more than enough to meet that criteria. Charlie could feel an intuitive feeling in his Falna. As if the Falna itself acknowledged that what he had done was worthy of a level up.
"Forget it. For other adventurers, when their parameter attributes reach rank B, they choose to level up right then and there. And for those with poor potential, rank D parameter attributes make them level up without hesitation even though their strength is weaker compared to adventurers of the same level."
Charlie had different standards. As usual, he wanted all his parameter attributes to touch rank EX before truly taking the step to the next level.
"No need to rush."
He had time.
Immortality gave him the luxury to be patient and build an unshakeable foundation. Leveling up now would give instant power, but waiting until everything reached rank EX would give him far greater power later on.
Placing the parchment on the table, Charlie left the room.
He left his status information on the table. For now, he chose to continue living at his current level, honing himself to the absolute limit.
Since it was already evening, he invited the women at Empyrean Citadel to eat out.
Astraea had woken up since noon. Charlie proposed eating out, while also refreshing their minds after yesterday's incident.
Clearly, wherever they went, this group immediately became the center of public attention.
As soon as their feet stepped onto Orario's streets, eyes immediately focused on them. Whispers, amazed looks, and jealousy followed their every step.
A man traveling accompanied by four women, moreover each of them was a beauty that men would willingly queue from Orario's entrance gate to Babel Tower just to propose to.
Charlie could feel the piercing stares from passing men. If looks could kill, he would have died hundreds of times. Fortunately, not a single person in this world possessed Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. Otherwise, even with his immortality, he wouldn't have survived.
Back to the main topic.
Astraea was a goddess, her beauty above mortal. Her elegance and aura radiated gently, attracting attention while evoking respect.
Aishia and Est were Spirits, a race beloved by the gods and closest to divinity. The natural beauty and mysterious aura of the two spirit girls made them appear like creatures from fairy tales, often leaving those who saw them stunned.
As for the only human among the group, Kei, although not a peerless beauty, she was on par with top-tier beauties in Orario, which Zeus acknowledged as the gathering place of beautiful women from all over the world.
Kei, with her natural beauty, was no less charming. She completed the group with a more grounded yet equally attractive presence.
"..."
Charlie took them to the Hostess of Fertility.
This bar was one of the most popular eating and drinking places in Orario, famous for its large food portions and very tough waitstaff. Almost all its workers were former High-Class Adventurers.
The atmosphere inside was lively yet peaceful. Charlie could sense the aura of several waitresses who were not ordinary people—their movements efficient, their eyes alert. They were former adventurers who now chose a peaceful life, but remained ready if the situation demanded.
Just like yesterday, there was no Ryuu Lion. Yet Charlie had hoped Astraea would meet Ryuu, a former member of Astraea Familia. Unfortunately, Ryuu hadn't returned to Orario because she had been invited by Hermes Familia on the crusade against Antares.
After eating to their satisfaction, Charlie and the others walked around enjoying Orario's night atmosphere before going home.
Nights in Orario were always lively. Lights were lit, adventurers celebrating their day, merchants still selling.
They walked slowly, enjoying the peace they had fought for. Charlie walked in the middle, surrounded by the women who had now become an important part of his life. For a moment, the burden of drained lifespan and the shadow of yesterday's death felt distant.
Tonight, they were just a group of people enjoying togetherness and simple happiness after the storm had passed.
