Today's class was Advanced Calculus, taught by a professor named Yi Gang. He was completely bald, around fifty years old, and had a very stern appearance.
He was in the middle of a deadpan roll call.
"Li Yuan."
Li Yuan, who was holding Xia Zhijin's small hand and whispering to her, jolted at the sound of his name. Following the other students' example, he stood up and answered, "Present."
When Professor Yi Gang saw Li Yuan stand up, he paused the roll call. Instead, he looked at Li Yuan with curiosity and asked, "You're Li Yuan?"
Li Yuan smiled and replied, "Professor Yi, yes, my name is Li Yuan."
Advanced Calculus is my most difficult subject right now. If I don't want to fail, I need to get on this professor's good side. If I get full marks on coursework and pull a few strings for the final exam, I should be able to get through this class without any issues.
