Xiong En's public trial.
This matter obviously has nothing to do with the law anymore.
Not just because of the efforts on the conservative side, but also due to the public's grievances.
Jonas was sitting opposite Xiong En at this moment, discussing something with him.
"So? You guys made some sort of deal, right?"
"Sort of." Xiong En said: "Julia and the others found me; it's kind of a political deal. By the way, how's the boss?"
Jonas smirked: "It's been two months. Boss said you'd be fine, but hasn't shown up since."
Xiong En paused: "So... the boss knows what happened to me, right?"
"Yes."
"But he didn't come to rescue me? Not even when you guys approached me."
Upon hearing this, Jonas knew things were bad and quickly said: "Xiong En, the boss always has his own matters, you know, he disappears for stretches of time too."
Xiong En paused again and then said: "Did you misunderstand something?"
"Huh?"
"Do you think I would resent the boss for not rescuing me?"
