"What's happening... Am I still alive?"
Although Li Dachun was awake, he hadn't fully come to his senses. In the moment before he fainted, he had thought he was about to drop dead. Now, upon regaining consciousness, all he felt was a stinging pain on his face, where the skin on his nose and cheeks was scraped raw.
Far from feeling discomfort, Li Dachun was somewhat relieved. The pain assured him that he was, indeed, still alive.
Sitting on the ground, his limbs felt weak, and it seemed impossible to stand up anytime soon.
"Didn't I just faint?" As soon as he spoke, a bystander replied, "Faint? From the looks of it, if you hadn't caught that next breath, you would've been a goner. You should be thankful someone saved you. Why haven't you thanked them yet?"
Only then did Li Dachun carefully examine his surroundings. Not much had changed since he passed out, except for one strange thing: the young doctor from Cai's Hospital he had encountered that morning was here.
