Chu Tian nodded while watching Xu Qingqiu sing earnestly. She, in turn, would glance at him from time to time, a constant smile playing on her lips.
Her demeanor now was entirely different from in the recording studio. It wasn't so much singing as it was a unique communion between them, facilitated by music.
"Who could ever replace you?"
"Love to your heart's content while you're young."
Chu Tian finished his line and nodded slightly at Xu Qingqiu, who, with perfect understanding, immediately followed.
"My dearest,"
"The journey is long, let's be together."
As she sang the last four words, whether intentionally or not, Xu Qingqiu silently looked at Chu Tian, her gaze meeting his at that exact moment.
And he happened to sing the next line just then.
"I sing my song to you."
"I sing my song to you."
