Jibber-jabber, rumble-rumble, Reed now has a belly full of complaints, but his grumbling stomach seems to be responding to the call of gravity, his attention scattered, mouth parched and breathing like a bull, unable to make a sound, or even perform the simple actions of shaking his head and waving his hands.
Reed regretted it.
It should have been at least twenty-five years since the last time he ran. God, he doesn't even remember why he ran, or how it felt to run back then.
Breath heavy and turbid, Reed doesn't even have the strength to curse.
Veach noticed, although his condition isn't much better, but just jogging, he can still manage.
"Coach, you should stop."
"No, I mean move to the outer rim, don't stop abruptly, but walk slowly to relax your heart."
Reed heard it.
The logic, he understands, honestly, every cell of his body agrees with Veach, but at that moment when he heard Veach's words, his knees started to weaken, longing to sit down immediately.
