So, like an ostrich, she turned away, burying her head in the sand, her heart fluttering with excitement and anxiety. Thalia opened the car door of the passenger side, swiftly getting out, desperate to escape before Li Wei could speak, to completely disappear into the crowd.

A call came from behind. Thalia's rationality told her she should run and not give Li Wei a chance to speak, but an impulse grabbed her ankle, momentarily halting her steps, her heart uncontrollably rushing back behind her. She had to use all her strength to resist the urge to turn around.
