Chapter 105 - 105: Fighting against Lavos!

One ordinary day in 1999, the earth suddenly began to shake. No one knew why. Although the measuring instruments available at that time were quite sophisticated, all the readings and data were incorrect.

Something was happening, and it wasn't good. Suddenly, sensors on the planet and in orbit began picking up an energy signature greater than anything humanity had ever created.

It was coming directly from the Earth itself! Soon, a crack opened in the planet's surface that reached its core. A creature that had been parasitizing the planet for millions of years emerged from there, consuming its energy nonstop.

Lavos! This being was given the name Lavos in the past, which means "Great Fire." It is a space parasite that travels from world to world, absorbing the energy of the planets it lands on. Then it reproduces and spreads throughout the vast cosmos, thus expanding its species throughout the universe.

Today, he would emerge from the planet's core to eradicate its surface. This date would be known as "Judgment Day" by the few survivors.

But this time, things would be completely different. Concerned about the crack that had opened in the earth, humanity saw the arrival of a group of people whose identity was unknown:

There was a young redhead with a sword on his back; a young woman with purple hair holding a pistol; and a blonde girl with a crossbow, aiming directly at the large crack. There was also a robot and a man with green hair holding a sword aloft.

There was also a scantily clad woman in animal skins and the figure that stood out the most: a blue-haired woman who, unlike the others on the ground, was 100 meters in the air.

They waited for the imminent arrival of Lavos. They had prepared for this moment. Even Frog, or rather, Glenn, gave up his insistence on remaining in his animal form, allowing Princess Nadia, or Marle, to return him to his human form.

He held the legendary Masamune, which had been completely reformed and activated to its full potential after he confronted the spirit of his old friend, Cyrus. After resolving this issue, Glenn felt his body and mind relax, which helped him strengthen himself.

Over time, Bulma joined the team to carry out small missions like this one. They traveled to the future to retrieve key pieces of Prometheus and the Sun Stone, which they had left in the past to store energy.

They obtained a certain rainbow shell, which led them to interact with the royal family, specifically Marle's father. This time, however, there was no trial against Crono since Bulma destroyed the monster disguised as the chancellor, the heir to the monster that had kidnapped Queen Leene.

Thus, Crono obtained a suitable sword. They toured the Zeal Kingdom, avoided certain figures, and filled Marle's necklace and the Masamune sword with special energy.

Additionally, Bulma took advantage of Gaspar's knowledge of a detailed map of the kingdom to steal technology that used magic and therefore depended on special energy.

This was vital for her! This allowed her to venture into the field of Ki-related technology, representing a significant leap in her future development.

When they arrived in 1999, Bulma toured the era's cities, collecting their advanced technology, which was biased toward environmental maintenance and survival, perhaps due to environmental problems.

Bulma understood this was inevitable. After all, Lavos consumed energy and affected the planet's environment. Over time, water scarcity and desertification became serious problems.

After doing everything she wanted and gaining great benefits for herself, she decided it was time to finish off Lavos. They approached the crack from which the creature would emerge.

They didn't have to wait long before Lavos' enormous, grotesque figure emerged from the earth, covered in burning lava. Its shape was similar to a giant tick with spikes on its shell. Although it had no eyes, everyone could sense that it was watching them.

It had a beak-like mouth, and when it opened, it let out a roar heard throughout the world. Its body emitted a great deal of energy as it prepared to attack, but it was clear that Lavos lacked battle experience.

"For Guardia, for the future!" Glenn exclaimed, channeling his magical power into the Masamune sword. It emitted a beam of light that pierced through the clouds.

"LAVOS!" Crono shouted, channeling his lightning magic throughout his body and enhancing his physique. Without speaking to Glenn, they both attacked at the same time.

Their bodies moved at great speed, striking Lavos's mouth and interrupting its roar. Their weapons left wounds on the creature's body, but considering the difference in size, they looked like mere scratches.

But he was wounded! Golden blood, extremely hot and full of energy, flowed from him. Then, Ayla fell from the sky, her hands clasped and raised high. She let them fall onto the creature's appendage.

Two bursts of energy, one extremely cold and the other incredibly hot, struck the area crushed by Ayla. In addition to being wounded by the boys, the mixture of these spells caused a reaction.

A huge explosion occurred in Lavos' mouth. It was so powerful that his enormous body was sent several meters backward. The space parasite's scream was heard again, but now there was a hint of pain in it.

Several missiles fell on its body. Prometheus launched them at just the right moment, taking advantage of the shock waves produced by Lucca and Marle's combined attack. This enhanced the damage of his projectiles.

"Now I understand that phrase very well: If it can bleed, it can die." Lucca adjusted her goggles and watched closely as the wounded Lavos shot an energy beam from its mouth.

A slightly curved wall of ice formed in front of the group and took the brunt of the monster's attack. Although the wall shattered, part of the energy was deflected, preventing the children from being affected.

Marle, who had created such a defense, was breathing heavily with steam coming out of her mouth. Her eyes were serious. She wasn't going to stay on the defensive; she was going to fight back. She stomped her foot, and a huge iceberg appeared in front of her with a sharp point aimed at Lavos.

Lavos' enormous body prevented him from moving effectively, and he was struck by the large block of ice. At that moment, the clouds in the sky turned dark and began rotating clockwise.

Soon, lightning began to strike Lavos. Crono had decided to harness the power of nature to strengthen his attack. Meanwhile, Glenn enveloped the creature's body in a wave of hot water, allowing the electricity to spread everywhere.

Ayla threw large rocks constantly, assisted by Bulma, who provided them using her psychic power. Prometheus fired laser beams and provided support to his companions if they were close to being injured by Lavos. Lucca prepared a special attack.

The purple-haired girl fired a thick red beam, hitting Lavos' only vulnerable spot squarely. Although the rest of its body could be damaged, striking the area around its mouth was more effective.

The attack didn't explode; it concentrated entirely on that area. Under the gaze of his companions, it destroyed part of Lavos' body until only a crack remained in its enormous shell.

"So... did we win?" asked Marle. Bulma shook her head. She knew there was still more to be resolved. Besides, she could feel Lavos' energy signature.

"I detect energy signals deep inside this shell. We have to go in," Prometheus announced, making the group, except for Bulma, feel uneasy.

"I'll go!" Ayla pounded her chest, causing it to ripple slightly. After all, she was half-naked and had a considerable bust. Yet, no one dared to look at her too closely; her wild and unbridled aura was a natural deterrent.

"If we have to access it, I'll do it," said Crono with a warm smile, but his face soon hardened as something approached him so quickly that he barely noticed it.

A thin beam of light was fired at his body. Luckily, a purple energy shield enveloped him and protected him from harm. Bulma descended to the ground and looked toward the open crack in Lavos' shell. A grotesque hand appeared, followed by a complete body.

'Obviously, this isn't a game. How could Lavos wait patiently to be defeated?' Bulma thought, smiling as she looked at the creature in front of her.

Its appearance was unsettling, as if it had tried to replicate a humanoid being. However, its lack of knowledge about them was evident, giving it a sinister look.

That thing was fucking creepy. It had one head, two arms, and two legs, but that was where its resemblance to humans ended. Its skin was covered with a yellow, armored-like layer that did not completely cover its flesh, leaving some fleshy, purple areas exposed.

It was short in stature, with a deep purple top of the head and two empty eye sockets. It was completely focused on Bulma and ignoring the rest.

She sensed that Lavos had blocked her and was able to perceive her. This being's energy was incredibly high and active. Realizing they couldn't deal with it, the group stepped aside, leaving them alone.

"I... outside. You... outside." Lavos pointed at Bulma, and a psychic wave emerged from him, transmitting his words into the real world instead of her mind.

How could Bulma let something like that get into her head? However, Lavos' display of psychic ability heightened the danger in the blue-haired girl's mind.

Furthermore, Lavos' words made Bulma realize that he had seen her true nature because, in a way, she did not belong to this timeline. This being was always connected to space-time issues.

After all, his mere presence caused space-time distortions, so he was sensitive to these events. His psychic ability was quite high, allowing him to see the Plant version of Bulma, which he associated with her previous situation.

Was this stranger a shell? It didn't matter! They had destroyed his outer body and interrupted his cleansing of the world. Lavos no longer wanted to communicate and initiated his attack.

His body rose into the air, and he raised his hand, preparing himself. He unleashed a huge wave of energy that resembled a red moon and was made entirely of psychic power.

He knew nothing of restraint! Seeing the imminent attack, Bulma decided to show this being one of her new attacks. With a big smile on her face, she clasped her hands together and channeled a large amount of purple ki between her palms. A ball of energy surrounded by a ring formed and began to rotate at extremely high speeds.

"Accretion disk!" Seeing the energy moon falling toward her, the blue-haired girl shouted as she launched the attack she had created upward.

Her ki had taken on the appearance of a black hole, including the structure surrounding these spatial bodies, hence the name of the attack.

The clash of powers interrupted the transmissions that allowed people to see the battlefield. However, the tremors and shock waves coming from that direction indicated that the conflict had increased, not diminished.

The attacks exploded and canceled each other out. Bulma took advantage of this, using her battle experience to attack. She traveled the distance between herself and Lavos at great speed and struck her enemy in the chest.

An energy sword appeared in her hand, and her blow pierced Lavos' body, wounding him. Although Lavos used its vast psychic power to move away from Bulma, she remained close because she unleashed all her power from the start.

A purple aura covered her body as she constantly punched, kicked, and slashed at Lavos. He could barely return a blow, but when he did, Bulma always ended up on the ground.

Lavos' physical strength was incredibly high! Not only that, but his body was also quite resilient. Bulma's attacks were damaging, but never too serious. With his psychic abilities, he recovered quickly.

It was a constant back-and-forth between them. Bulma completely let off steam, treating the inexperienced Lavos like a toy or training dummy. She tried out all her new ideas on him and took her martial arts to a higher level.

Of course, Lavos' blows hurt her a lot. What's more, this being's tricks seemed limitless. He imitated all the beings that had ever lived in this world, using not only his mental power, but also magic. Sometimes, she was ambushed by sudden spells.

Their battle raged on for hours, preventing anyone from approaching the area of confrontation and turning it into a forbidden zone. In the end, however, a purple energy drill pierced the atmosphere and dispersed into the air, leaving everything suddenly silent.

'That... was quite a fight...' Bulma's mind wandered. Her body was covered in bruises and blood, and her clothes were torn. But her blue eyes shone brightly.

She felt it. Lavos had been ambushed by her. Although she did not have the same fighting experience, she realized that she had superior senses. The creature detected every movement of Ki, sometimes interrupting her and preventing her from unleashing powerful attacks.

But Bulma was more cunning! At the cost of receiving a powerful dark spell from Lavos, she caught him with one of her most powerful attacks and destroyed him without giving him a chance to heal.

Bulma floated gently in the sky, feeling the energy Lavos had absorbed over the years slowly being reabsorbed by the world. This indicated that the world was recovering.

Humans would no longer live in that future. The environment would improve, and some special people might be born, but that was no longer Bulma's concern. She had finally faced a powerful being, just as she wanted.

She liked that completely. Her adventure in this timeline was over, but her adventures were not. In her world, many more stories were waiting to happen.

Bulma was ready to enjoy them.
