"I still don't understand why you're dragging me to this so-called beach party," Gero muttered, holding the airship capsule with annoyance.
However, the smile on his face didn't disappear. After all, it had been a long time since he had spent time with his wife. During his time working for the Red Ribbon Army, they hardly saw each other.
Although he had a pressing goal, unlike his counterpart in the timelines shown in the show, his hatred for a certain young Saiyan had not consumed him. However, that did not mean his ability had been lost; on the contrary, it had been enhanced.
He can interact more openly with other scientists. He discovered this advantage recently when he left the Red Ribbon Army with a large sum of money.
Before, he could not engage in regular dialogue with the scientific community because the RR stood in his way. He could not go to conventions, emporiums, lectures, laboratories, etc.
He missed a lot and could only read papers on the results of projects he could participate in, but he constantly declined due to his obligations.
Now, however, he is completely free with no limitations. No one could stop him from spending time with his wife or traveling around the world to meet other scientists or initiate research that could be profitable for his grand plan.
"It's called socializing, Gero. You should know, you have a great brain." Vomi patted her husband's head as if to check if it were hollow, a gesture that stiffened the man's smile somewhat.
"Besides, we'll meet two pretty smart people, you know? That girl named Bulma confessed something to me." Vomi approached her husband playfully, a smile full of amusement on her face.
"She was the one who captured your little metal toy, but she didn't take it apart. She asked my permission," the red-haired woman whispered to Gero, who wasn't expecting this.
He had been angry when he learned about the former General Blue's betrayal and the loss of his android creation, Sergeant Metallic, but he had soon forgotten this anger because he was happy to be free from the Red Ribbon Army.
Therefore, he hadn't considered the possibility that one of his creations had been lost or destroyed. Although they were mere 'prototypes' in his eyes, he put a lot of work into each of his androids and developed a fondness for each of them.
Knowing that Sergeant Metallic was intact cheered him up a bit. It seemed like good news had been coming his way constantly since he left the Red Ribbon Army. Even his unborn child didn't have to die because of those people!
The destruction of the Red Ribbon Army was a blessing for his family! Gero looked off into the distance and quickly focused on a young blue-haired girl.
"I guess it caught her eye. I could give it to her." He put his arm around Vomi's waist and started walking toward the others.
"Look at it this way. The girl has a brilliant mind and is also powerful. You saw the tournament, right? And those apps she brought out with that 'Smartphone.'
I never thought aliens would be so obsessed with Earth martial arts! She's the one who introduced us to that forum. Besides, her father is a genius, too. Could you create something like the capsules if you had the chance? I don't think so! That is something unique, an achievement that belongs to him alone.
His invention allowed us to hold the power of space in our hands!" Vomi praised both the father and daughter because she genuinely thought they were amazing people.
Of course, she did not despise her intelligence and abilities, but it was clear that her talents lay in areas outside of her family's expertise. Vomi knew that her husband's gifts were not only in robotics but also in genetics.
"It's too bad we can't interact with those guys. They're really scary. Did you see the recently released video of that Freezer? How terrifying! He eradicated a space fleet with a single gesture..." Doctor Gero trembled slightly, fearful.
After watching the video, he understood why you couldn't write your home planet in posts, comments, or chat. Imagine revealing where you come from and attracting the attention of those super-powerful beings!
"Hmm, but at least we have powerful people in our world, don't you think? Besides, knowing these things is useful," Vomi muttered. Gero nodded in agreement.
If his plans served their purpose, he would probably have to face many martial artists in the future. Thus, knowing the destructive power of Ki would be useful for the duo.
However, neither of them let those thoughts dampen today's enjoyment. Yes, perhaps they would have a fierce confrontation with the young and old on this beach, but for now, they were at peace.
"Good morning! Looks like we're a little late," Vomi greeted with a big smile.
"Don't worry. We just finished arranging the environment," Son Gohan replied with a kind smile. His gaze then focused on the woman's bulging belly. He opened his eyes in surprise.
"The miracle of life is truly amazing. I wish you my sincerest blessings." Gohan's words surprised the married couple. They didn't know how to respond, so they just smiled awkwardly.
"Gohan! Stop acting so mysterious around young people," said Muten Roshi, pushing his student away before offering his hand to Doctor Gero.
"Welcome. Come join us. There are still people to arrive, so you can take a seat and relax," Roshi said as Gero responded to the greeting.
"Thanks. We thought we were running late. You know how it is with women..." Gero remained silent when he felt a sharp pain in his waist. He didn't need to turn around to know that Vomi had pinched him.
"Hehe... I hear you. I have a sister." Although Muten Roshi hadn't had a partner during his life, he knew how tardy women could be. After all, when he was young, he always had to wait for his sister, who took hours to get ready.
"Rude! Hmp!" Vomi exclaimed before approaching the trio of women nearby. She didn't want to be near her stinky husband.
Was it hormones acting up? Probably, but her actions relaxed the tense atmosphere from her arrival. So, when Vomi approached the girls, Bikini was the first to greet her with a hug.
"I don't know you, but I feel like we could be good friends." Bikini's sudden enthusiasm took Vomi by surprise, but she simply let herself be hugged because she felt relaxed.
If there was one thing Bikini excelled at, it was forming bonds of friendship quickly. Soon, Vomi was comfortably chatting with the redhead about her pregnancy, makeup, and fashion.
For example, Bikini liked Vomi's style. Despite wearing a lab coat and being pregnant, Vomi looked quite attractive. That sort of thing is not easy to pull off.
As Bulma's mother, she was interested in fashion. How could she not have noticed this? Both women immersed themselves in various topics, which constantly changed. This absorbed Bikini's attention, thus freeing her daughter and Lazuli.
"Phew, remind me not to let your mother get to me again," the blonde whispered to Bulma, who nodded with a self-deprecating smile. She didn't want to go through that again.
"Well, if we keep our distance, my mother won't be able to sink her claws into us," Bulma said to Lazuli. Lazuli nodded.
They remained silent, simply admiring all that was happening in front of them. At some point, the two women held hands, sharing an intimate moment.
"Why don't you want to be with your mother?" a sudden voice interrupted their moment, causing them to turn around. They were surprised because they hadn't noticed someone behind them.
They saw Whis, the angel, and the most powerful being in Universe 7. He was slightly crouched in the direction of the girls. He seemed to have been in that position for a while, secretly listening to their conversation.
He hadn't hidden, so their inability to sense him had nothing to do with secrecy. He wasn't spying on them; he was standing openly on the beach!
At least, that's how Whis justified himself mentally as he saw the women's ugly faces. A mischievous grin broke out on the angel's face as he raised an eyebrow and saw that they were still holding hands.
"Come on, it's not like I interrupted something important between you two, is it? Sorry, I don't fully understand human mating rituals yet, but I can tell that holding hands isn't the key issue, right?" Despite not being explicit, Whis was unusually playful with his words. With the meaningful smile on his face, it was obvious what he meant.
His words embarrassed the girls, but Whis was not Bulma's mother. The blue-haired girl lashed out quickly. Perhaps she would have felt uncomfortable dealing with Whis at first, but she had already trusted him, so she didn't hold back.
"Stop saying things that can be misinterpreted!" Bulma said, pointing her nose at Whis. He found her response particularly interesting.
Initially, he had only been interested in the young girl's potential and the food she could provide. Now, Whis was starting to get curious about mortals. Let's just say that living for millions of years and doing your duty gets boring.
"But I was quite clear. Don't you notice the effect of the hormones in your head?" Whis touched Bulma's head with his staff. Although she tried to evade him, how could she avoid someone perpetually in a state of Ultra Instinct?
"What did the mortals call them? Yes, pheromones! There are plenty of them in the air around you. I don't even need to see the aura to know that you two have something going on," Whis commented. Bulma tried to catch his staff, obviously attempting to remove it from her head. However, the angel's fluid movements prevented her from succeeding.
"You talk like you don't know what's going on. You make him feel weird," Lazuli replied in a calmer tone than Bulma, who growled a little.
"He's an old monster! What hasn't he already seen? He just wants to make us uncomfortable." Bulma took the opportunity to launch several attacks with her fists and legs at Whis. She didn't want to hurt him; she simply wanted to touch his body.
"Hm? Yeah, that's the advantage of living a long time; you learn a lot. Like your crude attempt to learn from me, little Bulma." Whis' eyes narrowed, adorning the smile on his face as he floated gently and gracefully evaded every one of Bulma's blows.
"Huh, you noticed! Worthy of someone like you. Truly amazing. No doubt you're a great master!" Bulma's sarcasm caused Whis to burst out laughing.
He found her actions amusing before looking away at a Goku whose tail was wagging wildly. Goku wanted to join in.
'Earth does not disappoint in oddities: a young Saiyan who is not overpowered by his natural savagery and an interdimensional being playing childish tricks to enhance his strength. Only here do such strange things happen,' Whis thought before rushing toward Bulma and touching his index finger to the blue-haired girl's forehead.
"If you reach a higher level of power, I can train you. But for now, what smells so good?" Whis sniffed the air, catching the scent of meat cooking on the grill.
He hadn't come to train Bulma; he had come to eat and enjoy himself at this so-called beach party! After stopping the impetuous young woman, he flew toward the Ox King. During this time, the Ox King had left the mansion with his wife and decided to take charge of the food.
He started by preparing plain hamburgers. It was the smell of the meat that attracted the angel, who watched greedily as the big man prepared it. If Whis could feel lust, then food was the only thing that had evoked this reaction from him thus far.
