Xia Zhaoshun's face was covered in blood as he coldly stared at the Imperial Guard, mercilessly swinging his long sword, a head flew up and then fell to the ground.
"Master Xia truly possesses great skill," someone said.
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang by his ear, causing him to pause momentarily.
Turning around, he saw Pei Hanze clad in armor, holding a spear, and standing behind him with a group of soldiers glaring angrily at him.
"How could you be here?" Xia Zhaoshun was utterly astonished. He had clearly sealed all the entrances to the imperial palace, and even replaced the people on the city walls with his men. How had Pei Hanze entered Capital City?
Could it be that he had been hiding in the city all along? Regardless, he now had no way to retreat, and his only option was to press forward.
