Shi Lan rose from her chair and stood beside Yan Shixiu, both watching the several brats.
The fear of sudden silence was palpable, and moments later, the youngsters felt their breathing quicken. Legs trembling, they took a few steps back, and then respectfully bowed to Yan Shixiu, "Good day, Sister-in-law Yan."
Having his identity acknowledged in such an intimate circle put Yan in quite a good mood, his lips curling slightly as he responded, "Hello to you."
"Oh my God, I actually spoke to the boss!"
"I'm a boy, and even I'm about to be swept off my feet by Yan."
Shi Lan looked at them with a dangerous glint in her eye.
The kids, taking the hint, immediately said to Shi Lan, "Sister An Lan, is it too late to take back what we just said?"
"Watch your mouths. Don't go spreading this around, and maybe I'll let you live."
Upon hearing this, they all gestured zipping their lips, promising not to blabber about it.
