Chapter One.

As expected by Lin Mengran, when she and Zuo Jiang returned to school, Lin Mengye had already left with her luggage. According to those in Lin Mengye's dorm, she left at dawn, saying there was a family emergency she needed to rush back to handle.
"I must take a leave and go back..." Lin Mengran looked at Zuo Jiang, "She'll definitely twist the story first. If it were before, I wouldn't care, but now that I know her true nature, no way can I let her have her way."
"I'll go with you," Zuo Jiang said.
"No need..." Lin Mengran quickly refused. After what had just happened, it would be too awkward for Zuo Jiang and Lin Mengye to meet.
Zuo Jiang, however, looked serious: "I'm the person involved; for her to scheme and run off without facing any consequences is absolutely unacceptable!"
"You..." Lin Mengran looked at him hesitantly. Deep inside, she didn't want Zuo Jiang to go, but she also felt he had a point. It was really troubling.
