Xu Nianhua was checking where improvements were needed in the factory when Cheng Hao arrived.
"Cheng Hao, where were you yesterday? Why didn't you come over for dinner?" Xu Nianhua asked as soon as he saw Cheng Hao. "Oh right, you left something behind yesterday. It's still in the factory."
"I just wandered around yesterday and went to bed early."
Cheng Hao was dressed in a pristine white shirt and black trousers today, his hair meticulously combed. Xu Nianhua thought about how he had run into Zou Yaru's mother yesterday; he surely couldn't have been in the mood to wander, let alone go to bed early.
Xu Nianhua smiled but didn't expose him, simply saying, "My mother will be coming to the factory soon. Would you like to take a look around first?"
