Chapter 304 - Elias — Eden's Money Is My Money

The nine-headed Chimera, stretching tens of thousands of meters long, moved with world-shaking force. Meanwhile, Kevin, transformed into [Diabolic], resembled a demon king emerging straight from hell.

The clash between the two was cataclysmic—its aftermath alone, the overflowing Honkai energy, was enough to annihilate all life nearby.

"Steadfast as rock."

Sensing that the girls beside him were overwhelmed by the oppressive auras, Elias immediately activated a defensive ability.

He isolated the energy fluctuations from both the nine-headed Chimera Honkai Beast and [Diabolic] Kevin, sealing them away completely.

"Oh my, thank you, Eli."

"Hmph, those two sure are going at it."

"But it's about time for a conclusion."

Just as Mei said, both Kevin and the Heaven Devourer Honkai Beast prepared to end the battle with their next blows.

[Diabolic] Kevin raised his blazing sword high—the Judgment of Shamash, Might of An-Utu. It shone with a brilliance rivaling the sun, its searing heat instantly boiling the sea and sending steam billowing skyward.

But the Heaven Devourer was not to be outdone.

"ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!!!"

All nine draconic heads turned toward [Diabolic] Kevin. Each maw opened wide, and terrifyingly dense Honkai energy began to gather inside.

"Shamash—Assault!!"

Kevin swung his flaming sword, unleashing its full might.

The sky seemed to ignite, turning entirely crimson. The massive flame expelled by Might of An-Utu stretched for miles, almost reaching the edge of the atmosphere.

"ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!!!"

At the same moment, the Heaven Devourer's nine heads released concentrated Honkai beams. Their combined force multiplied many times over as the rays converged.

This single exchange could erase an entire nation.

Rampant Honkai energy tainted the sea, and if left unchecked, the region could spawn another monstrous Honkai Beast like Chiyou in the future.

Elias frowned, then invoked his Holy Blood power—instantly purifying the entire ocean.

BOOM—!!!

Kevin's and the Heaven Devourer's attacks collided.

It was like two meteors slamming into each other head-on. The impact nearly shattered Elias' spatial barrier, cracks spreading across it as space itself trembled.

Countless tons of seawater vanished, vaporized by the sheer force, and the resulting shockwaves raised waves high enough to drown cities—yet Elias casually froze them solid with a flick of his hand.

"I win!!"

Kevin's triumphant shout echoed.

He pointed Might of An-Utu directly at one of the Heaven Devourer's heads. In the end, Shamash Assault had overpowered the beast's converging energy beams.

Its colossal size had become its weakness against Kevin's agility and combat mastery.

With his [Diabolic] form's unmatched mobility, the aid of a Divine Key, and his battle-hardened instincts, victory was inevitable.

"ROAR… ROAR…" ×9

The Heaven Devourer's nine heads drooped in defeat. To lose its very first battle left the Vipralopa-class nine-headed Chimera disheartened.

It turned pitifully toward its master for comfort.

"There, there. Don't blame yourself, Heaven Devourer—you fought well. Here, have some popcorn as a reward."

Elias patted each of its nine heads in turn, then pulled a heap of popcorn from a spatial gate. Using telekinesis, he sent the snacks floating into each of its nine mouths.

"ROAR~!" ×9

The Heaven Devourer's sorrow vanished instantly. The monstrous yet oddly adorable beast began nuzzling Elias affectionately with its heads.

"How about that, Elias? Your mount isn't so tough after all. Look at me—not even a scratch~."

[Diabolic] Kevin stood proudly, hands on his hips, grinning smugly.

"Yes, yes, completely unscathed—except your energy bar's almost empty, right? And, by the way, my Heaven Devourer is a support-type Honkai Beast. It's not exactly specialized in direct combat."

Elias smiled and effortlessly shattered Kevin's pride with a single sentence.

"...Bullshit. You expect me to believe that? That thing's tail swipe could split the ocean, its bite could crush a mountain, and its beam could blast an island into orbit—and you're telling me it's not good at direct combat?!"

Kevin's eye twitched violently; all joy from his earlier victory vanished in an instant.

Elias shrugged, as if stating an undeniable fact.

Each of Heaven Devourer's nine heads possessed different abilities—but most of them were designed to enhance Elias himself. After all, it had been created as a super Honkai Beast specifically meant to support him.

Direct combat wasn't its specialty.

But even so, its sheer power was already absurd.

Kevin's Honkai energy reserves were almost completely depleted just from fighting it. In gaming terms, Heaven Devourer had at least a few hundred health bars.

"Oh, right. Since we're at it, let's test another ability too. Heaven Devourer—Fusion Release."

"ROAR—ROAR—ROAR—ROAR—ROAR!!!" ×9

Following Elias' command, the nine-headed Chimera Honkai Beast's massive body began to glow with blinding light.

Then, before everyone's stunned eyes, the colossal creature began to split apart.

Garuda, Vishnu, Parvati, Maheśvara, Yaksha, Shesha, Asura, Benares…

One after another, over a dozen high-level Honkai Beasts appeared in midair. Each radiated overwhelming energy equal to their full-strength selves, their collective roars shaking the heavens.

Everyone was so shocked that the popcorn slipped from their hands and fell into the sea below.

Elias nodded with satisfaction. Sitting atop Benares' head, he affectionately stroked the dragon's scales, thinking with delight—just as he expected, it worked perfectly.

After all, a Chimera was born from the fusion of tens of thousands of Honkai Beasts' meta-morphic factors. Therefore, by performing a 'Fusion Release,' it could revert to its original components.

It was like Kaiba using "De-Fusion" on his Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon—splitting it back into three separate Blue-Eyes White Dragons.

"Wha—You can do that?!"

"Of course. Basic mechanics, nothing special."

And, of course, after splitting, they could fuse again anytime. Meaning, in theory, Elias now commanded an entire Honkai Beast army.

While lower-class beasts were practically irrelevant, the Emperor-, Judgment-, and Vipralopa-class Honkai Beasts before them were another story entirely—they possessed devastating power.

Seeing the white-haired boy surrounded by towering Honkai Beasts, the four observers' throats went dry. It was as if they were gazing upon a sovereign of the Honkai—a ruler commanding destruction itself. From a certain perspective, a whole army of Honkai Beasts was far more terrifying than a single Heaven Devourer.

But wasn't this just… completely broken?!

"This doesn't make sense—this makes absolutely no sense! Elias, your Heaven Devourer may be powerful, but it only has 200,000 HW of Honkai energy!"

"If it releases its fusion and splits into all 53,871 component Honkai Beasts, then each one would only have less than 4 HW of energy!"

"Elias, Honkai energy may be capable of anything, but it still needs to obey some kind of logic—there's a conservation of energy to consider!"

Mobius immediately interjected, and Dr. Mei nodded vigorously beside her.

Elias simply shrugged in response.

"Mm, you're right, Snake. But I only said it has the potential to do that."

"For now, I can only split it into about a hundred Honkai Beasts. Heaven Devourer's limited Honkai energy isn't enough to maintain perfect states for all of them."

"But don't forget—" Elias' golden eyes gleamed as he smiled. "We're Chimeras."

The moment they heard the word Chimera, everyone froze, instantly understanding what he meant. Chimeras were beings capable of infinite evolution.

Right now, Elias was only at the beginning of that path. If he could already achieve such feats this early… then, given enough time, one day, he would surely reach that ultimate level.

The same went for his Heaven Devourer Honkai Beast.

For example, after fifty thousand years of growth…

In fifty millennia, the Honkai energy stored within both Elias and Heaven Devourer would reach an unimaginable level. By then, reproducing all 53,781 fusion components would be effortless.

Just imagining such a sight made Elias' body tremble slightly in excitement and anticipation.

"Anyway, what we have now is already more than enough."

"Yeah… you've got a point."

The four others looked at the surrounding high-level Honkai Beasts, twitching at the corners of their eyes. It was already absurd enough—what more could they possibly ask for?

"Damn it! I can't accept this! Elias, let's make a deal—how about I trade my [Brahma] for your [Heaven Devourer]? Please, this is my life's one and only request as your brother!"

Kevin felt absolutely green with envy. Compared to Elias' Heaven Devourer, his own Brahma was downright embarrassing.

It couldn't even function as a proper mount, much less transform into armor or weapons for him to use.

Sure, Brahma could create subordinate Honkai Beasts, but both their quantity and quality were pitiful.

Take Tlaloc, for example—arguably its strongest subordinate—but even that one barely reached Judgment-level strength.

"¯_(ツ)_/¯ Nope. I don't want your Brahma. Come on, let's go eat noodles. Haven't eaten in three days—I'm starving."

"Hmph! In that case, Elias, don't blame me for being ruthless! To be honest, I'm feeling pretty jealous right now, so I've decided to take revenge!"

"Oh? You, a mere Kevin, want to take revenge on me?"

Elias raised a brow, thinking, This white-haired husky's got some guts—daring to 'avenge' himself on me?

...

—One hour later—

"This is what you call revenge, Kevin?"

Inside a ramen shop.

Elias twitched at the corner of his mouth as he stared at the mountain of empty bowls stacked high—and at Kevin, who was still devouring noodles like a beast.

He had half a mind to open a spatial gate, teleport away, and leave Kevin here to wash dishes as payment.

"Of course! Watch me eat you into bankruptcy! I'm a Chimera now—I can eat infinite bowls! So, Elias, how's that wallet of yours holding up?"

Kevin patted his stomach and gave a sharp, challenging glare.

Elias could only smile wryly at the ridiculous scene.

"Fine, fine. I'll treat. Eat as much as you want. Even if you devour every bowl of ramen in the world, I can pay for it."

"What?! Being the Savior pays that well?"

Kevin was so shocked he dropped his chopsticks.

"Not really. Mei only gives me a hundred million per month… but you forget, I've got the richest girlfriend in the world."

Elias said this while pulling out Eden's bank card with a smirk.

Right now, Eden was even wealthier than she had been in the original timeline. Back then, the Previous Era was already collapsing, and hardly anyone cared for art or concerts—after all, when humanity's on the brink of extinction, who's buying albums?

But thanks to Elias' existence, the Previous Era had lost far fewer people. Though times were still bleak, humanity hadn't given up on hope—or on the need for spiritual comfort.

And Eden fulfilled that perfectly. The Diva of the Apocalypse—she had become the world's one and only star.

To calm the world's hearts, she often held concerts across the globe. Even if her tickets and albums were priced low, billions of people still bought them.

So even without intending to earn money, the world's wealth inevitably flowed into Eden's hands.

And Eden's money… was Elias' money.

"…"

Kevin fell silent. Tears of pure envy streamed down his face as he thought bitterly—

Su, you'd better step up your game…
