Chapter 1 - World building, magic system And Important Info.

This is a world where magic and monsters exist, just one of many such worlds.

A little over two thousand years ago, people created what we call magic. They learned to control the massive power called mana that dwells within the body through imagination, then make it real using words.

It was incredibly useful. But it was also incredibly dangerous.

People lived rich lives thanks to magic. But then some started using it for evil, yeah, people began using magic for war.

Flying sparks of fire, frostbite rotting away hands and feet. Bodies sliced beyond recognition, others struck down by lightning from the heavens, still others buried alive in the earth, ugly conflicts claimed countless lives, and countless more lost the people they loved.

The countless nations merged into five countries.

The biggest nation in the center is a religious country that doesn't get along with the northern nation, and they're still at war today.

The southern nation, a tropical commercial country, has bad blood with the western nation where magical technology flourished.

The eastern nation, which had isolated itself for years, hates the northern nation that's trying to invade it.

These five nations, each with different values, clash with each other constantly. But it's not like there's no contact between them.

A few times a year, friendly nations reach out to each other, and representatives from all five gather for exchange meetings. Only then do they forget their conflicts, stop their feuding, and actually talk, despite all the fighting, it's still a peaceful world.

Magic has what we call normal attributes, special attributes, and non-attributes that don't belong to either category.

Normal attributes include fire, water, wind, lightning, earth, light, and dark. Most people have one or two attributes.

Fire is weak to water. Water is weak to lightning. Lightning is weak to earth. Earth is weak to wind. Wind is weak to fire.

Light and dark attributes cancel each other out.

World Structure

This world has guilds and a world government.

Guilds are organizations where you can request help with problems or take on jobs to make money. There are dozens to hundreds of guilds, and the strongest and most famous is called Moonlight.

Guilds have guild cards that you need to take on jobs. That's why students get them made when they reach high school.

There are also people called the Fire Emperor, Water Emperor, Wind Emperor, Lightning Emperor, Earth Emperor, Light Emperor, Dark Emperor, and Grand Emperor, one of each. They've mastered their respective attributes, and the Grand Emperor has mastered all attributes.

The seven emperors (excluding the Grand Emperor) are all SSS rank, while the Grand Emperor is the world's only EX rank.

They can join any organization they want, some belong to guilds, others to national armies, some to the world government, and others live freely without belonging to anything.

The world government is literally a governmental organization that controls the world. It issues currency, decides on kings for each nation, monitors guilds, and handles various other tasks.

This world has magical weapons that are different from ordinary weapons, each one has various spells embedded in it.

Familiars also have ranks: low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, supreme-grade, and Legendary-grade.

Quests also have ranks, from lowest to highest: F, E, D, C, B, A, AA, AAA, S, SS, SSS, EX. You can only take quests at or below your guild rank. Plus, if you have a high-ranking person accompanying you on a quest, you can take quests up to their rank level.
