●Background
After Li Qing ascended to the Third Realm of cultivation, the world underwent a tremendous upheaval. The Eight Immortals—the eight peak Ninth Realm cultivators who ruled over the heavens—descended from the Yang Side along with a vast number of Seventh and Eighth Realm cultivators from every major power. Simultaneously, the Blood Moon rose high, and the number of monstrous beasts surged drastically, plunging the world further into instability.
A brief overview of the world's structure:
The Nine Provinces and Four Regions (Jiuzhou Suyu) – the material realm, the physical world where the majority of beings, including mortals and low-tier cultivators, reside. This is where Li Qing currently operates.
The Dark Side (Mianyin) – the underside of the world, home to the majority of monsters.
The Yang Side (Yangmian) – the upper side of the world, residence of high-tier cultivators.
