Reien Girls' Academy.
It was a Christian academy located in the suburbs of Misaki Town.
Though Christian, it practiced freedom of faith. The uniforms, however, were designed after a nun's habit, making it a bona fide prestigious all-girls school.
But privately, the school was actually run by the Holy Church as a money-making venture. New era, new developments, after all. Hiding in churches and waiting for donations, while a steady income, was hardly enough to cover the cost of training Paladins and other super-powered individuals.
Haru walked along the street towards Reien Girls' Academy, surrounded by his three adopted daughters.
From the eager look in Kohaku's eyes and the occasional glances from Hisui and Akiha, if it weren't for the passersby, something interesting would have likely occurred.
A public display of affection, perhaps.
"Ah~ parent-teacher conferences." Haru rubbed the back of his head, his expression one of distaste. Having spent little time in school since his transmigration, his impression of them hadn't changed.
A bunch of parents sitting below, a teacher on the stage, showering praise on a certain student's grades while mercilessly denigrating some poor soul's bad habits. Then, most of the parents leave, unhappy, and inflict severe childhood trauma on their children back home.
Was it really necessary?
Haru wanted to scoff at those teachers.
If he didn't know that Japanese parent-teacher conferences were different, and more importantly, if he didn't want to face the pouting faces of his three daughters, he really wouldn't have wanted to attend such a troublesome meeting.
"Don't even think about running away. Papa always used to pawn off the parent-teacher conferences on Mama Aoi. But now that little Rin and Elia are in school too, the only one who can come is Papa."
Kohaku, in her nun-like school uniform, sidled up to Haru, hooking her arm through his, her voice filled with complaint.
Beside Kohaku, Hisui nodded slowly, affirming her sister's words. "It had to be Papa!!"
"...I know." Haru's lip twitched. He knew exactly what Hisui was leaving unsaid.
Whether it was the innocent, common-sense-lacking Artoria, the globe-trotting, hot-tempered Gilgamesh, or the girlish yandere Kiyohime, if they attended a parent-teacher conference, it would undoubtedly cause a massive commotion.
And the only normal one, Aoi, had her hands full taking care of the three little ones, It was only natural she couldn't make it.
"In the end, why did you have us, Kohaku, and Hisui study in Japan? Isn't Germany good too?" Akiha asked, clutching her handbag, her brow furrowed slightly, her tone laced with dissatisfaction.
Though she desperately wanted Haru to attend the parent-teacher conference, her naturally tsundere personality made her say the opposite of what she felt.
"Ahem, didn't you want to reclaim the Tohno family's inheritance, Akiha? And isn't Reien Girls' Academy a family business? It's a good opportunity to study and keep an eye on things, isn't it?" Haru's face flushed slightly, then he quickly adopted a flat tone and replied.
In his heart, the main reason for choosing to have them study in Japan was the Yamato Nadeshiko educational philosophy!
A woman who could grace the halls of power, master the culinary arts, and play various seductive games at night absolutely perfect!
Plus, Reien Girls' Academy was an all-girls school, its students and teachers all female.
That's why Haru felt confident letting the three girls, freshly graduated from his Genji Project, slowly interact with their peers and build a foundation for entering society.
After all, even if he was playing the possessive dad, he couldn't forbid the girls from interacting with society. That was a different kind of game, one called imprisonment education.
"Can you stay a little longer, Papa?" Hisui turned her head slightly, stealing a glance at Haru before lowering her head to hide her faint blush, her pale, smooth hands tightening their grip on her handbag strap.
Akiha's pupils constricted slightly. She stole a glance at Haru's face from the corner of her eye and said, her voice laced with a hint of anticipation, "Papa, you haven't been to Misaki Town many times, have you? You should stay a few more days, see the sights in Misaki and Tokyo."
"Yes, yes." Kohaku nodded eagerly, rubbing her small, budding chest against Haru's arm in agreement.
The nascent softness made Haru's gaze falter for a moment, then he turned his attention to the three girls beside him.
All three were wearing Reien Academy's nun-like uniforms. As a conservative, prestigious all-girls school, its uniforms were the epitome of modesty.
Besides the white collar, the long, black, knee-length dress covered everything, leaving no skin exposed except for their hands and faces.
But for some reason, the normally loose-fitting nun's habit clung to the three girls' figures like a second skin, highlighting their budding, youthful curves. That, coupled with the inherent uniform fetish appeal of the nun's habit.
"You've all grown up," Haru said suddenly, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Mm~" X3
The three girls' faces flushed slightly, and they lowered their gazes, murmuring in agreement.
Haru raised an eyebrow, a thoughtful expression on his face. After a moment, he said flatly, "I'll probably be staying here for a few years."
It wasn't just Mahoyo. In the end, the stage for Kara no Kyoukai was also within the Tokyo metropolitan area. And the events were only separated by a few years.
Whether it was Misaki Town's Crooked Core Ley Line, or that 'Origin-connecting' Shiki Ryougi, in Haru's eyes, they were all shortcuts to the Root. Spending a few years in Misaki Town was a small price to pay.
"Really?" Akiha looked up, her face full of hope.
As if by telepathy, Kohaku and Hisui both turned their expectant gazes to Haru.
Haru chuckled and nodded.
Expressions of joy mixed with shyness appeared on all three girls' faces.
Then, the slowly advancing group of four finally reached the top of the slope and arrived at the academy's main gate.
And at the gate, a girl, like a world-forgetting spirit, stood, watching the comings and goings of the crowd, appearing cool and lonely.
The moment Haru's gaze fell upon her, the girl quickly turned and met his eyes.
