The Fuji Consortium was officially founded in 1966 and is currently composed of around 30 large enterprises. The East Ocean people refer to Mount Fuji as "Fuyou Peak," hence the Fuji Consortium is also called the Fuyou Consortium, which holds significant influence in key areas such as manufacturing, commerce, and finance in the East Ocean.
Its core enterprises include Fuji Bank, Nissan Motors, East Ocean Steel Pipe, Sapporo Brewery, Hitachi, Marubeni, Canon, as well as East Ocean's largest bearing producer, East Ocean Precision Machinery, and the largest agricultural machinery maker, Kubota, among others.
Marubeni Corporation, originally founded in the textile industry, is a major comprehensive trading company in the East Ocean and one of the largest commercial enterprises in the world. The Fuji Consortium manages what's known as the "Fuyou Club."
