Anastasia settled down on the sofa, flicking through channels while Lily toddled around, clutching her favourite plush bunny. She was finally calming down after an energetic morning, though her curiosity hadn't dimmed. Feeling a bit empty, Anastasia couldn't help thinking of Daniel. It's been a week since then and Daniel had been quiet with no contact at all.
"Careful, Lily," Anastasia cautioned as Lily moved a little too close to the edge of the sofa. The toddler blinked up at her mother and gave a small nod, adjusting her position and setting her bunny down beside her.
As the business segment droned on, Anastasia's attention drifted between the TV and Lily, who was happily playing with her bunny on the carpet.
