Having encountered the previous wolf, Ye Qing was extremely sensitive to the scent of blood. Upon smelling it here, his first reaction was that perhaps an animal was injured again.
Ye Qing tightened his grip on the Wu Hong Dagger and followed the direction of the blood scent, finding a dead jungle wolf behind a pile of stones. Upon closer inspection, he found that this wolf's injuries were identical to the previous one, both torn to death by a beast.
Having encountered such a situation before, Ye Qing was not particularly surprised. He got up and continued walking forward, but before long, he found another dead jungle wolf behind a mound of dirt, with injuries similar to the last one, also clawed by a beast.
