Early the next morning, Lin Chen quietly returned to Qiao Xue's villa.
He had just lain down for a short while when he heard the roar of a car engine.
Lin Chen stretched lazily and got up from bed, and then there was a knock on the door.
"Who is it?"
"It's me, my grandpa's here. Hurry up and come upstairs with me," Qiao Xue said from outside.
Lin Chen opened the door to see Qiao Xue in a bathrobe, her face marked with urgency.
"Come upstairs with you? Didn't you say upstairs was off-limits for me?" Lin Chen said indifferently.
Qiao Xue's cheeks flushed with anger: "My grandpa wants us to sleep together. If he finds out we're living separately, he definitely won't be happy."
"We weren't sleeping in the same room anyway. When he comes, let's just be honest with him," Lin Chen replied nonchalantly.
