The crowd immediately parted, forming a path, and the sleazy middle-aged man, like a dog that had slipped, fell to the ground in a face-down position. However, as he fell, something tumbled out of the shoulder bag he'd been carrying, immediately drawing everyone's eyes to it.
The bus braked suddenly, causing everyone to lurch forward. Many people nearly fell due to the abrupt stop, and those holding onto the handrails felt a sharp pain in their hands, while several passengers knocked their heads against the seats in front of them. As a result, some started shouting and blaming the driver, questioning his ability to handle the bus.
The driver looked bewildered, having no clear idea why he had braked so suddenly. There had been no obstacles on the road or anything suddenly appearing. He had hit the brakes on instinct, leaving him confused and speechless in the face of the passengers' accusations.
