The night passed quickly, and the gentle evening breeze felt so comfortable against their skin. After a while, it became slightly chilly, so Hao Jian and Shu Ya decided to head back to sleep.
When they woke up the next day, the sky was lightly dotted with clouds and the sun was just beginning to rise. Hao Jian groggily opened his eyes, getting up while Shu Ya was still asleep. Perhaps she was overly sensitive, or her sleepiness had mostly worn off, so as soon as Hao Jian moved slightly, she woke up too.
Hao Jian said, "You're awake!"
Shu Ya silently nodded, and the two of them got up. Afterward, Shu Ya prepared a simple breakfast for Hao Jian, with a balanced mix of meat and vegetables. Though simple, it was quite flavorful.
