Felix parked his car in front of the hotel with a long sigh, his hands tightening around the steering wheel. His reflection in the rearview mirror looked... tired. No. Exhausted.
He rubbed his temples and muttered to himself, "Let's get this over with."
This situation was spiraling faster than he expected. The longer he dragged it out, the worse it would get. Felix wasn't the type to let messes linger—especially ones that showed up at his doorstep with a suitcase.
After stepping into the hotel lobby, he approached the front desk. The receptionist, a young woman with her hair pulled into a neat bun, looked up with a polite smile.
"Good morning, sir. How may I help you?"
Felix exhaled through his nose, adjusting his watch. "I'm looking for a guest. Lara Johanssen. Can you tell me what room she's in?"
The receptionist glanced at her screen, typing quickly. "Yes, she's in Room 1508."
