"Nothing," Leo said flatly, his eyes already dropping back to his phone screen. He scrolled through emails with practiced indifference, completely ignoring the three people staring at him.
Jay's jaw dropped.
"Nothing?" he repeated in outrage. "NOTHING? I just gave you the most emotionally vulnerable hug of my life. Your own brother. And you're checking emails?"
"It was not emotionally vulnerable," Leo said without looking up. "It was uncomfortable and moist."
"Moist?!" Jay protested. "I'll have you know my cheeks were perfectly dry!"
"Your lips were not."
Bella snorted and covered her mouth again.
Jay clutched his chest dramatically.
"You're killing me, bro. Actually killing me. Your younger brother, who you've known since birth, who shared a room with you for fifteen years, you're killing him right here at this table."
Leo scrolled to another email.
"Good."
Jace leaned back in his chair, clearly enjoying the show.
"He has a point, Jay. You did kiss him."
