"Really?" he said, raising an eyebrow, a teasing note in his voice. "I didn't expect this from you, bunny. Aren't bunnies supposed to be energetic?"
Bella pouted and turned her face away, pretending to be offended. "Do it," she said firmly, her voice muffled but stubborn.
He chuckled softly, shaking his head. "She's lazy like a panda," he muttered under his breath, watching her reflection in the mirror. "I have to pick her up, bathe her, and now skincare too."
But even as he grumbled, there was amusement dancing in his eyes. He picked up one of the bottles, reading the label seriously like it was some classified document. Then he unscrewed the cap and squeezed a small amount onto his fingertips.
"Okay, close your eyes," he murmured.
Bella obeyed instantly, her lashes fluttering down. He gently spread the cream over her cheeks, his thumbs moving in slow, careful circles. His touch was warm and steady, tracing the shape of her face with quiet focus.
