The party was loud, joyous, and full of life. Andrew didn't think that everyone would be partying the days leading up to the wedding, but he'd forgotten what joy weddings brought. He hadn't partied before Amir's wedding because he hadn't known Amir enough, and he hadn't been stable enough back then.
Now?
Andrew was dealing with flushed faces, laughs, and people pulling him off into corners to give him advice. He was glad that when he looked over to Maxwell he was getting the same treatment, if slightly modified. No one was going to take Maxwell somewhere he didn't want to be.
He was also glad that it appeared that Maxwell wasn't drinking as heavily. He was monitoring his drinking, nursing them. He'd decline if someone wanted to top him up, and would direct them to someone else who had a low glass. Andrew knew it was a bit nosy of him to keep an eye on the other man, but he was just making sure he was safe.
He didn't want Maxwell to have a headache for their big day.
