Chapter 463 - Two Choices

Morel and Knov both realized the gravity of the situation.

If the Chimera Ant Queen had died, it would have been the best outcome for many factions. But now, she has come back to life.

Setting aside her leadership over the Chimera Ant nest, the remaining loyal squadron leaders and soldiers would continue to follow her orders.

Moreover, considering how her body managed to recover from such severe injuries, what about her reproductive ability?

Both men instinctively clenched their hands, and their bodies were slightly tensed.

A dead Chimera Ant Queen was a good Chimera Ant Queen.

But one that had revived and could potentially regain her reproductive capabilities... If she were to give birth to a second Ant king…

That would be a major threat to the world.

They didn't know exactly how effective the small gray bean that Lan had given her was in terms of healing.

But if it could pull a living being back from the brink of death, then restoring her reproductive system probably wouldn't be too difficult either.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the area became subtly tense with the Queen's recovery.

On one side, Bihorn and Small Bear were overjoyed at their Queen's survival.

But they also noticed the subtle changes in the expressions of the two human men standing nearby.

Then, they instinctively took a couple of steps forward.

As for Colt, he was still immersed in the overwhelming joy of his Queen's miraculous revival, watching anxiously as Dr. Lee performed a full-body examination.

No matter what others thought, they needed a professional to make the final assessment.

"She's basically fine now..."

Dr. Lee wiped the sweat off her forehead.

"The patient's condition is stable, and what's unbelievable is that all of her damaged organs have completely recovered."

"Now, we just need to remove the artificial organs that were previously implanted. It won't take long before she's fully healed."

The Queen was still unconscious, mainly because the artificial organs inside her body were conflicting with her restored natural organs.

But once those artificial organs were removed, she would be as good as new.

For Dr. Lee, implanting and treating organs was difficult, but removing them was simple.

"Thank you... Thank you so much..."

Colt expressed his immense gratitude while bowing repeatedly.

At this moment, he wasn't thinking about the long-term consequences, the bigger picture, or what this could mean for the world.

He was simply overjoyed and filled with gratitude.

But in this world, things rarely go smoothly.

"Colt..."

Just as he was calming down, a low voice sounded from behind him.

"You haven't forgotten our agreement, have you?"

Morel took his large smoking pipe from behind his back and looked at Colt with a blank expression.

Gratitude was one thing, but work was work.

Morel hadn't forgotten his duty as a professional hunter.

This was exactly why Chairman Netero had chosen him and Knov, because of their abilities and personalities.

"I... I understand..."

Colt, who was pulled back to reality from his joy, saw Morel's tone and expression and whispered: "We surrendered before in exchange for your treatment of Her Majesty the Queen."

"Of course, we will not forget this."

Upon hearing this, Bihorn, next to him, frowned instantly.

He took a step forward and wanted to say something, but Small Bear next to him held him back.

When Bihorn turned around, Small Bear shook his head slightly.

"That's good, you still remember..."

Morel saw all the little movements of the two ants, Bihorn and Small Bear, through his sunglasses.

The corners of his mouth slowly raised into that of a formal smile: "So now, it's time for you to fulfill your side of the promise."

"As for your Queen..."

When it comes to the Chimera Ant Queen, whether it's Colt or Bihorn, their bodies immediately tensed up.

It doesn't matter to them as subordinates, but since it involves their Queen, no matter what, they can't just sit back and watch.

Even Colt was mentally prepared.

If the group of humans in front of him wanted to harm their Queen, he would step forward to defend her once again.

"Regarding the final decision of the Chimera Ant Queen, everything will be decided by Chairman Netero, the Hunter Association, and the V5 behind."

Knov pushed his glasses.

In his normal state, he still had the style of an elite: "What's more, the little bean that cured the Chimera Ant Queen... That is, the Senzu Bean was given by Mr. Lan."

"The promise we can make at present is that we will not do any harm to the Chimera Ant Queen before the final judgment is made."

"We will also guarantee her most basic medical and survival-related security resources."

"But at the same time, all her actions will be prohibited, and she cannot be out of the sight of our people."

"This is our most basic requirement and condition."

Knov directly laid everything out in the open.

At this moment, the Chimera Ants had only two choices: accept these terms or make a decision right here and now on whether they could still secure their survival.

Even though, in terms of sheer numbers, the Chimera Ants had the advantage… Bihorn looked at the two humans before him, both of whom were clearly not to be trifled with.

They had likely been the ones who eliminated their foraging squads and forced them into hiding; he couldn't help but fall into silence.
