Chapter 457 - Ging's Interest

"What does he look like..."

Small Bear thought for a moment: "One of them was wearing a black trench coat, looked quite young, and was a male human... Oh, right, yes, it's exactly the person in this picture!"

He pointed at the photo Killua had taken and confirmed it.

"Then one of them must be Lan."

Killua quietly put away the photo of Lan that he had saved before: "Then the other one..."

He pushed Gon in front of Small Bear: "Do you think he looks similar?"

"Him... To be honest, I don't remember it very well."

A trace of confusion flashed across Small Bear's eyes: "The other person, I can't remember what he looks like at all."

"Hearing what you said, I have a vague impression of him, a sense of familiarity..."

The Squadron Leader who just met him can't even remember his appearance.

Such behavior…

Killua and Gon looked at each other and saw the same answer in each other's eyes: "The other person must be Ging!!"

Ging had ended up with Lan after all, and not only that, but the two of them had taken two squadron leaders with them.

No one knew exactly what they were up to; it seemed like they had their own separate plans.

Meanwhile, as Gon continued searching for Ging's whereabouts, on the other side, the medical team brought by Morel's group was working tirelessly to treat the Chimera Ant Queen.

"Before we arrived, did you already perform some basic hemostasis and sutures?"

On the makeshift surgical platform, Dr. Lee, a renowned medical professor, was meticulously treating the Queen while asking the elderly Octopus Chimera Ant doctor beside her.

"Yes, I just did some of the treatment I could do."

The old octopus doctor explained while helping: "In addition to me, the two humans before you came also helped with a lot of rescue activities..."

To the other Chimera Ants, it might have seemed like a simple treatment, but the old octopus doctor, who was skilled in medicine and highly intelligent, could tell the truth.

The two humans weren't just treating the Queen; they were using this opportunity to study her physiology.

While the other Chimera Ants couldn't tell, he, someone who specialized in medicine, could see it clearly.

If it weren't for the fact that they had indeed stabilized the Queen's condition and helped in treating her…

And if they hadn't looked so difficult to deal with…

The old octopus doctor might have spoken up. But instead, he kept silent and waited until they finished their research and left.

"Her injuries aren't just external; some of her organs are already damaged beyond repair..."

Dr. Lee was able to see the root of the problem with just a simple examination: "She needs to be equipped with artificial organs."

"But the structure of the Chimera Ant is very different from that of the creatures outside. I'm not sure whether these organs will play a corresponding role in her body..."

"Are you talking about organ rejection?"

The old octopus doctor said immediately: "I have read this in the book. If the foreign organs and the organs of the body are not compatible, there will be rejection reactions. Often, relatives with blood relations will not have such reactions."

"For example, parents, direct descendants..."

"Use my organs!!"

Colt spoke up without hesitation, and there wasn't even a trace of doubt.

His loyalty to the Queen was absolute and unwavering.

Forget donating just a single organ; even if he had to give up his own heart and his life, he would do so without question.

Such devotion and sacrifice even moved Morel and Knov.

They hadn't expected that even a creature like the Chimera Ants could have such strong emotions.

Unfortunately, Chimera Ants are creatures of different species, even if they are only one generation apart, which makes them biologically different species from each other.

"I can only say that I will do my best to save her."

Dr. Lee promised. As a doctor, she will do her best to save the Chimera Ant Queen.

All that is left is to pray that all artificial organs can work miraculously.

Or…

Dr. Lee looked at the traces of treatment on the Chimera Ant Queen, which were done by the two humans before.

They seemed to have their own unique experience in treatment.

If the two of them could really treat the Chimera Ant Queen, perhaps…

Dr. Lee shook her head in her heart and drove away these distracting thoughts.

She began to look serious and focused on performing surgery on the Chimera Ant Queen in front of her.

At the same time, on the other side, in a dense forest somewhere near the Chimera Ant nest.

"So you have the same ability as a chameleon, and you can turn invisible?"

Ging circled around Meleoron with great interest.

"If you could develop this special trait into your own Nen ability, it could lead to some truly unexpected results."

With his experienced eyes, he naturally saw the specialness of Meleoron and the Nen abilities he developed later; Perfect Plan and God's Accomplice are the best manifestations of this aspect.

"Even a species like the Chimera Ants should be able to learn Nen application. After all, you guys have already learned how to use Nen."

He stroked his chin and then looked at Peggy, who remained vigilant next to him:

"And you... You possess incredibly high intelligence, far superior to ordinary wild animals."

The two Chimera Ants in front of him actually fit Ging's usual conception of a chimera.

Especially this penguin. When he saw his temperament for the first time, Ging knew that he was different from ordinary creatures.

During their conversation, Peggy's way of speaking, his perspective on things, his analytical thinking, his knowledge, and most importantly, the learning ability and talent that Ging valued most were all exceptional.

This piqued Ging's interest in the Chimera Ants.

Or, more precisely… his interest in this particular Chimera Ants named Peggy.
