"Okay, class, I have a small announcement to make regarding your Foundational heroics Class." Shota said once Tatsuo was in his seat.
That made most of the students sit up straight and pay attention to Shota's following words with rapt attention.
"Today, instead of your usual training, you will be heading to a special sight for today's training." Shota continued in his usual bored, deadpan tone. "For this trip, both All Might and I will be accompanying you. There will also be a third teacher to help with the class today."
Hearing that, the students showed varying levels of excitement. Yet, thanks to the few days spent with Shota, they knew better than to start getting loud.
"What kind of training will be going through today, Aizawa-Sensei?" Ida asked after Shota acknowledged his raised hand.
"You'll be training in the essence of what makes a Hero a Hero." Shota replied casually. He then paused for a moment for dramatic effect. "Rescue operations. And as it turns out, U.A. has a facility created just for that."
While everyone was excited to see what this facility Shota spoke of was all about, the students with [Quirks] that were not suited for direct combat were even more excited than the others. Rescue was the path they were aiming for as Heroes, after all.
"Anyway, you'll find out more about that during Foundational Heroics." Shota said, looking as if he was fighting back a yawn. "For now, get ready for your normal classes."
Reaching that point, Shota then turned to look at both Tatsuo and Momo.
"Oh, and for our class reps…" Shota said. "Today at lunch, the representatives of the other classes will be meeting during lunch. You are both expected to be there, as well."
"Understood." Momo said in a serious tone while nodding her head.
"Ugh! Fine~." Tatsuo said in a completely uninterested tone. "I didn't even want this job."
Ignoring Tatsuo's complaints, Shota then went on to mention that during the rescue training class, the students would be allowed to wear their Hero Costumes. However, if they wanted to, or their costume was damaged, they could wear their P.E. Uniform.
However, no one would be wearing their P.E. Uniform for this class. Finding out if they needed to make any changes to their costumes for different Rescue scenarios was on their agendas, as well. Even Izuku, who had to wear his P.E. Uniform during the canon version of events was able to wear his costume today because during his match with Tatsuo's team in the Battle Trial, his costume, though a bit scuffed up and slightly burned, was not damaged too badly like it was in the canon.
After Shota finished giving the students the run down about the afternoon's Foundational Heroics Class, he did his usual thing and lay down in his sleeping bag, leaving the students to their own devices until the first class started.
And just like that, the morning passed uneventfully. Then, when the lunch bell rang, while most of the students went to the cafeteria, Tatsuo and Momo headed to a meeting room on the third-years' floor to join the meeting with the other class representatives.
"I guess that means we'll be seeing students from all the other classes today, huh?" Momo said as she walked through the halls with Tatsuo.
"Everyone except for the third-year Hero Class students, anyway." Tatsuo replied nonchalantly. "They're probably out interning with Heroes. I mean, that's what most of third-year is, after all."
"Yes." Momo replied with a nod. "I remember reading about that before enrolling."
Tatsuo only nodded in response as the two continued towards the meeting hall.
Tatsuo and Momo eventually reached the meeting hall. And to neither of their surprises, they were not the first ones to enter the room. In fact, other than the representatives from Class 1-B, they were the last ones to enter.
Upon entry, both Tatsuo and Momo scanned the room. And the first thing they noticed, other than the fact that they were more than likely close to the last ones to enter, was the fact that each class rep and vice-rep had their own designated seat. However, there was one thing that stood out to Momo.
"Soramoto-Kun…" Momo whispered while looking around the room skeptically. "Why don't I see a seat for Class 2-A?"
The smirk that spread across Tatsuo's face made Momo feel as though she was not too keen on hearing the answer. Yet, before Tatsuo answered her question, he started walking towards Class 1-A's desk. And Momo, slightly flustered, followed him closely.
"Hey, it's the Prince of U.A."
"Wow! He's even more handsome up close."
"I'm so glad I became the vice-rep… I want him to have my babies."
Tatsuo's eyebrow twitched when he heard that last statement. Yet, he did not have to suppress a recoil because the voice was clearly that of a girl. Still, it made him a bit uncomfortable. Yet, the girls were not the only ones commenting on the new arrivals.
"That girl is pretty hot, too."
"Yeah. That body is insane."
"Seriously… What kind of first year is stacked like that?"
Momo also found herself feeling uncomfortable with the boys' comments. As a result, she stepped a little closer to Tatsuo while they made their way towards Class 1-A's designated seats.
"Anyway, the reason why there is no seat for Class 2-A is simple." Tatsuo said as Momo took a seat next to him.
That caused Momo to temporarily forget about the glances and comments from the other boys in the room. Instead, she turned to Tatsuo and paid close attention to his following words.
"That's because Aizawa-Sensei expelled the entirety of Class 1-A last year." Tatsuo continued with a shrug. "So, it makes sense that there is no Class 2-A this year."
Momo's eyes widened when she heard that, an adorably shocked expression making it onto her face.
"How is that possible?" Momo asked breathlessly. "No… More importantly… Does that mean that if he was unsatisfied, he would have expelled Hagakure-San at the end of the [Quirk] Apprehension Test?"
"Pretty much." Tatsuo replied with a small nod.
Momo's dumbfounded state lasted until the last of the class reps and vice-reps showed up. And just as Tatsuo expected, they were students from Class 1-B. In fact, he even knew them.
The first was the orange-haired girl who was in Tatsuo's written exam during the Entrance Exam. Her name was Kendo Itsuka. And judging by how she was walking in front of her classmate, it was clear that she was the class rep.
Walking next to Itsuka was a short, chubby young man, standing at about 5'5" tall, with short, ice-blue hair, large, wide eyes with small irises, and wearing a sheepish, apologetic expression.
'So, Class 1-B's reps are the same.' Tatsuo thought to himself. 'They're still Kendo and Shoda. Actually, now that I think about it, did their class roster even change? I mean, there's a chance that the three that were supposed to be in Class 1-A did not even make it into the Hero Course, right? I guess I should check it out later.'
After that observation, Tatsuo did not go out of his way to greet Class 1-B's reps. Not because he hadn no interest in them, though. Instead, it was because the meeting started immediately after Itsuka and her vice rep, Shoda Nirengeki, took their seats.
Luckily, the meeting did not last very long. As the school year had just begun, there was not much to say. The chair of the meeting only let the new members of the group know about the big events that would be held throughout the year before letting everyone leave to have lunch.
On top of that, by the time the meeting ended, Tatsuo was no longer thinking about Itsuka and Nirengeki, as his stomach was protesting at having not been fed since breakfast. So, once the class representatives were allowed to leave, he and Momo quickly made their way to the cafeteria.
After that, lunch passed quickly and the students of Class 1-A made their way back to the classroom.
"Alright, everyone." Shota said while standing at the teacher's lectern. "Grab your costumes or P.E. uniforms, get changed, and meet me by the buses. We'll be taking a bus to the site for today's Foundational Heroics Class."
That caused the students to clamor in both confusion and excitement. Even so, they quickly followed Shota's instructions and made their way to the nearest locker room.
"So, where do you think we'll be having our class this afternoon?" Denki asked curiously while quickly changing into his costume."
"Does it matter?" Tatsuo asked while doing the same thing. "All we have to do is just follow instructions and do what the teachers tell us."
"Soramoto-Kun is right." Ida, already dressed in his costume, said while trying to adjust his glasses. However, as he was wearing his costume, which had a helmet and a visor, the attempt was useless. "We just need to pay attention and learn from the experience."
"You two are no fun." Denki said with a shrug.
"But I'm curious to know who the other teacher for this class will be." Izuku said while holding his helmet. "Aizawa-Sensei said there will be a third teacher for this class."
"There are a lot of teachers in U.A.'s staff." Fumikage said while shaking his bird head. "Unless we have more information, it will be hard to guess."
"Either way, this class is gonna be super-manly!" Eijiro cheered.
"Besides, I think we'll find out when we get there." Hanta pointed out. "So, there's no need to guess."
The rest of the students agreed with Hanta's statement as they continued changing clothes.
Before long, all the boys were done changing and made their way to the buses. As it happened, the girls were done around the same time, which surprised quite a few of the boys.
"I've never seen girls get changed so fast." Tatsuo muttered to himself. "And I live with five of them. So, I would know."
"Did you say something, Soramoto-Kun?" Rikido asked from next to Tatsuo.
"Don't worry about it." Tatsuo said while waving dismissively. "I was just thinking out loud."
Shrugging in response, Rikido continued to walk alongside Tatsuo. However, when the buses came into view, Tatsuo, deciding to take his role as class rep seriously, raised his voice, getting the rest of the class's attention.
"Alright, let's make this quick and efficient." Tatsuo said loudly, drawing attention from the students, Shota, and the bus driver. "Line up in order of seating number and get on the bus. It doesn't matter where you sit or who you sit with. Just don't take too long getting a seat. Got it?"
"Got it!" Most of the students replied energetically.
"Hmph!" Katsuki, the only one to answer differently, snorted discontentedly. "Who the hell do you think you are? Why should I listen to you?"
"I'm the class rep." Tatsuo replied nonchalantly. "So, that's enough reason for you to listen."
The sound of small explosions could be heard crackling from Katsuki's palms as he glared at Tatsuo in response. Even so, with Shota standing nearby, he did not cause a scene. Instead, he snorted once again before lining up to board the bus.
As for Tatsuo, instead of lining up with the others, he grabbed Momo and pulled her to the front of the line to make sure things went smoothly. Then, when the last student climbed onto the bus, Tatsuo gestured for Momo to enter before turning to Shota.
"Everyone's here, Sensei." Tatsuo said calmly.
"Good job." Shota replied in his usual tone. 'You climb on, too. We'll be leaving immediately.
"Understood." Tatsuo replied with a nod before climbing onto the bus.
As soon as Tatsuo boarded the bus, he saw Sakura waving at him with an empty seat next to her. Smiling wryly, Tatsuo made his way over to Sakura's side and took the offered seat.
At the same time, Shota also climbed aboard the bus. He then took a seat in the front row and almost immediately fell asleep. Then, the bus driver put the bus into gear and drove towards the USJ, otherwise known as the Unforeseen Simulation Joint.
"I wonder how far away the site for today's class is." Ochaco said in a curious tone.
"I doubt it will be that far away." Izuku, who was sitting next to Ochaco, replied. "I mean, we only have so long before the last bell rings."
"That's true." Ochaco said with a nod. "Still, I'm curious to know just what kind of training we'll be doing today."
"I don't know, but it should be awesome." Mina, sitting behind Izuku and Ochaco, cheered.
"Keep it down." Shota's voice sounded immediately afterwards. "We'll be there in ten minutes. So, try to stay quiet until we get there."
Immediately, the volume of the chatter in the bus fell sharply, leaving several students exchanging glances.
"By the way, Soramoto-Kun." Kyoka, sitting in the seat in front of Tatsuo and Sakura, asked while peaking over the backrest of her seat. "Hanekura-San and Matou-San said that you play the piano. They even said you've recorded some songs. Do you think I could hear your songs? Maybe, we could even play together some time."
"Just call me Shizuka or Akatsuki like Sakura and Tatsuo." Akatsuki said with a smile.
"You can call me Sakura, too." Sakura added in a gentle tone.
"Sure." Tatsuo replied. "I don't mind letting you hear what I've recorded. "I don't have my phone with me right now, though. Just don't forget to remind me when we get back."
"I will." Kyoka replied with a small smile. "So, what kind of music do you play?"
From there, Tatsuo and Kyoka dove into a conversation about music. Meanwhile, Akatsuki and Sakura, who did not dabble with music, were left out. And that caused Sakura to stare at the two with slight resentment.
Not long later, the bus pulled up to the USJ, and everyone climbed off the bus.
"Whoa! Mina said while looking up at the enormous dome-shaped building. "It's so big~~~!"
"That's what she said." A male voice said playfully in response.
That voice surprised most of the students, causing them to snap their heads in its direction. Meanwhile, Tatsuo, Akatsuki, and Sakura all sighed in exasperation when they heard it.
"So, this is what Nezu meant when he said there would be an extra person to help with today's class." Shota said as he climbed off the bus. "Ugh! I get the feeling this is going to be even more tiring than usual."
At the end of Shota's and the students' line of sight, Alfonzo, dressed in his Hero costume, stood at the USJ's entrance with a wide smile on his face while waving at the new arrivals. However, before anyone could exclaim in surprise, Tatsuo, who was walking with Akatsuki, Sakura, and Kyoka, [Blinked] in front of Alfonzo and threw a right hook right at his jaw.
"Whoa! Take it easy, Tatsuo." Alfonzo said with a chuckle as he bobbed under Tatsuo's hook. "You weren't really serious about breaking my jaw, were you?"
"You're god damn right I was." Tatsuo replied coldly as he followed up with a left uppercut. "I have to hear enough of your juvenile jokes at home. School is supposed to be my sanctuary."
Laughing at Tatsuo's outburst, Alfonzo continued to slip through the barrage. Meanwhile, the students other than Akatsuki and Sakura, all looked on dumbfoundedly. As for Shota, he only sighed in exasperation while letting his shoulders slump.
"Yeah, this is gonna be a real pain." Shota said in a defeated tone.
