Lu Mingxun, bored out of his mind, agreed immediately. He smiled amicably and said, "What's all this talk about status? Where do you want to take me?"
Mengmeng led Lu Mingxun to the rooftop and stopped by her room to grab a bottle of plum wine she had bought the other day.
"When I'm in a bad mood, I come up here to feel the breeze. The wind in the evening is cool and clears your mind."
Lu Mingxun smirked, "Why bother being so clear-headed? Ignorance is bliss."
Mengmeng's appearance wasn't striking, but she always exuded a gentle, soul-deep warmth.
"I thought wealthy people didn't have worries."
Lu Mingxun mocked himself, "What kind of wealthy person am I? I'm just riding on the Lu Family's coattails. How many people actually see me for who I am?"
Mengmeng poured a glass of wine for Lu Mingxun. "This plum wine is supermarket-bought, really cheap. Not sure if you'll like it."
